ok this is my first time see all the designs they are soo nice. The question I have is are these used as iron ons? or how does it work. I know we can get the different designers to design one but do we then print that on to an iron transfer.

Yes, the DISigns are printed onto transfer paper and then ironed on to tshirts. I've never actually done it before, but I'm planning my first trip and am getting ready to make my tshirts.

I ordered my transfers from Amy and they got here the next day!! She has a website where she sells them and they are supposed to be the best transfers ever! She sells dark transfers, but there are also light transfers. The dark ones are made for use on dark shirts and the background is white. They can be used on white shirts as well. The light transfers are transparent, so if you use them on a dark shirt, anything that is supposed to be white will be the tshirt color. I also just ordered my tshirts today from jiffyshirts.

I hope this helped!

Be careful with the jiffyshirts! I just got some and when I washed them before doing the transfers, they shrunk up BAD. Sigh. These were supposed to be pre-shrunk.

I got transfers from Amy too and we LOVE them! We just did a couple shirts yesterday...now just about 40 more to go!

Sorry to hijack the thread... But what kind of shirts did you get from Jiffyshirts? What brand? Now I'm nervous.

I used this link to start and found it very helpful. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1901175

Also, I bought my transfers from Amy (ordered them late Friday night and got them on Monday) and they turned out BEAUTIFUL! My shirts I bought from Target and Walmart, prewashed, and they look fine.
Have fun looking... be forewarned... it can be addicting!!!

The men's shirts that I bought for my husband and teenage sons shrunk the worst. They were the men's Gildan heavy cotton shirts from jiffyshirt. I was pretty frustrated b/c apparently you can't return or exchange shirts that have been washed...pretty convenient for them since there's no way of knowing if they will shrink unless you wash them!

BUT, to be honest, they are the cheapest shirts and biggest variety in color I can find, so I'll probably buy more, just get much larger shirts than I need so that when they shrink they will fit! The quality/thickness seems good and I'm making a lot of them for our trip, so I can't pay 5-8$ a shirt somewhere else!

can someone please tell me Amy's username! Or how to find her. I love the fact that she send you the iron on's already done. I have a feeling things would not turn out well if I try this myself. :rotfl:

I think you may be a little confused. :confused3 Amy does not print the transfers for you. You buy them from her, print them, and iron them on yourself. Believe me, I have never done a craft in my life that didn't come out somewhat messed up, and I was able to do this.:banana::banana: I messed up one transfer by accidently putting it in the printer the wrong way. Amy sends very specific directions. I think I have them saved on my e-mail if you want me to e-mail them to you. Have confidence in yourself!;) You can really make the trip special with these things!:wizard:

What is the website you ordered the shirts from? I am wanting some lime green and micheals doesnt have thoes. by they way they were 2/5 there last friday, so Im hoping they will be this sun. ;)

Hi - I'm new to the boards. We're going on our first trip to WDW in August! So super excited. I would love cute t-shirts too so I entered this thread:

Amy Mickey's website clearly states she is no longer doing Disney Designs.

Bummer - oh well, there are other cute ones out there (just have to remember where I found them)!

Amy Mickey doesn't do Disney designs anymore; however, she does sell the iron-on transfers. The transfers come blank and then you print them yourself.
