I suddenly lost my cat on Saturday. He was 6 years old and seemed to die in his sleep. My mom found him and went crazy. Her blood pressure sky rocketed and we had to take her to the ER.

Now I feel like I have to stay strong in front of her when it really hurts. He was my only friend for a while when I had my first house.

Now my fiancé and I are about to buy a house, but I feel guilty being excited cause my baby won't be there. And this might sound crazy, but I don't want to leave his spirit since he died at my parent's house, like maybe he would be scared?

Please tell me it's ok to move on and not feel guilty.

Oh hun, I'm so sorry that you lost your best friend so suddenly and so unexpectedly. :hug::hug::hug:

You'll never be leaving him behind - he'll always be with you no matter where you go, no matter what you do. I know you're feeling guilty for allowing yourself to feel joy and anticipation about what the future holds for you, but don't. He would never want you to deny yourself happiness; he would want you to remember how much he helped you become who you are today. And to move forward in life, maybe even to get another furbaby one day.

He's there with you, don't worry. :littleangel::littleangel:

Sorry you lost your furbaby.:hug:
I lost my dog earlier this year and I still miss her everyday, our pets are so important to us that it is hard to imagine our lives when they are no longer with us.

I am sure that your much loved cat had a happy life with your family so hold on to your happy memories and don't feel guilty about going on with your life, it is OK to be happy.

Thinking of you:hug:

I am sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to loose a beloved animal. I lost my baby (9 year old min pin) 2 years ago. It still hurts.
But just know that he is looking down on you, watching over you where ever you go from heaven.

anyway, best of luck with buying the new house. You have the right to be excited along w/ showing compassion.

I am so sorry. Cats are my pet of choice, and I know how hard it is to lose something you love like this.:hug:

It's def ok to move on. In time you will see. Best of luck to you :goodvibes
