I am planning a trip for this summer and need some feedback on some dates. We will be in the parks Friday through Tuesday, and want to avoid the Carsland crowds, but don't mind whether we actually see Carsland or not, since we will be back in the Fall. Keeping that in mind here are the dates we are thinking of:

(Also, if anyone has a guess as to hours on those dates, it would be appreciated.)

June 8th-June 12th
June 29th-July 3rd
July 13th-17th

TIA!

It's all a gamble. No one really knows how Carsland opening will effect crowds, esspecially that week before. It could be slower than normal because people want to wait till Carsland opens. Or it could be very busy from people hoping to avoid the Carsland crowds and people hoping to get an early look all converging.

Me personally I like the last dates in your post best. It's going to be crowded but there are no holidays at that time and Carsland will open for a month so maybe you will only have normal summer crowds instead of the mad rush crowds to see the new stuff immediately.

On the 8th and 12th it will be Grad Nites park will probably close between 9 and 11pm. DCA may stay open 10am to 11pm on those days. Otherwise DL 8-12 and 10-10 for DCA.

The other two periods DL 8-12 and DCA may be 8 to 11.

Crowds will be better on the first dates, worst at the begging of July as that is the start of A Holiday week.

My gut reaction was to go with June 8-12.

However, it is totally possible that Cars Land will be having soft openings - which means it will just be open - just not officially. So it could still be crowded. But odds are June 8 will be the best.

But Dsney may wait until June 15 to go to full summer hours so you may still be dealing with lesser hours and lesser entertainment. And Matterhorn is set to open June 15. But it too could soft open before.

Since you are going in the fall you may not care about any of this. So June 8 would be the choice. :)
