February Members Cruise

We are going on the members cruise in February. We have a DD who is 4. I'm looking forward to some alone time w/ DH and am very enthusiastic about the kids club. Wondering if they will still have the club even though we will be docking somewhere each day? any opinions? thanks, kim

On the Member's Cruise in April I picked up Personal Navigators for the these age groups ( 3-4, 5-7, 8-9, 10-12). I'm looking at the 3-4 year old one now and they had activities for Nassau day, Freeport day, and CC day. The activities on CC day are on the island at Scuttle's Cove. On the last day of the cruise ( CC day) the children gave a stage performance in the Walt Disney Theatre at 5:00 p.m. So.....I wouldn't plan anything with dh if your child participates in this.They even had a few things on Embarkation Day, but most of the day is spent on participation confirmation and exploration.They've got games, quiet time, and movie at night. They have a Kick-Off Party for the kids and parents at 4:30-4:45 p.m. ( The Main Event) on Embarkation Day. Kids are suppose to bring their parents to this event to meet some very special Disney friends and the counselors. Looks like the Oceaneer hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. except for embarkation day and the last night when they close at 12:00 midnight. At night they do a story time and movie time. Hope this gives you a general idea of what to expect. Have fun

Our DS8 has the best time in the children's section on Castaway Cay. We always leave him there for several hours while we snorkel and spend some time on the adult beach. He has such a good time in there, they keep them very active.

I forgot to tell you ( just in case you don't know) that they will give you a pager at the beginning of the cruise and you return it on the last evening. Un-returned or damaged pagers will incur a fee of $150. You're to refer to the Children's Navigator so you will know where they are on the ship. They could be at the pool or a movie, for instance.

DVC1996 your enthusiasm is fantastic!! If I was ever uncertain about this "special" cruise you've pushed me right over the edge! thanks so much for your valuable input! I'm making DH read all your posts now!

Dbond....never thought much about the adults only beach...probably forgot there was one once DD was born. Thanks for the input, we will definately take advantage of that now! Thanks again all, kim
