When they rang up the lightsaber, did they still have to do it piece by piece for inventory purposes??? That took forever with three of them!

Cherie! I don't know what to say about the insane teacher. It's awful when there are problems with your kids teachers. I've only had a couple but it just eats at you because there's only so much you can do.
I was always one of the mom's who taught my kids not to hit no matter what.........well that changed a few years ago when Evan was in 6th grade and got suspended for hitting a kid AFTER the other boy slammed his head into a locker. That didn't go over too well with me. So now it's do anything you can to avoid a fight, but don't just be a punching bag either. The kicker in that situation was the other boy who started it wasn't even suspended. The principal said it was because they could never get co-operation from his parents........he was a known trouble maker.

DS looks so cute and proud with his lightsaber! My boys did that last year and I think DH had more fun than they did.

Yay! So glad he got a light saber without any stress!! It's amazing what our little ones know about movies and things they like! I'm glad he understands the force!!!

He loves that light saber. He is still playing with it every day so that's good! Glad it didn't turn into one of those play with it once and i'm done with it type of things.

I will be so glad when this school year is over. I had another conference with the principal to discuss with her what i'd like to discuss with the teacher. She said she thought it was a good idea and that she'd get back with me on a conference.......that was Wednesday. I haven't heard from her since. Typical.

I'm glad ds got his light saber too. He really loves that thing!!

We get to sleep in today!! Well....sort of. We wake up around 7am and get dressed and packed. We bring all the luggage back out to the car and head into the main house for a free hot breakfast. It was pretty good and they even had Mickey Waffles here. We quickly filled our bellies and headed out. We can't wait to hear those two wonderful words....... WELCOME HOME. Even though we are not DVC owners, we still get a kick out of that. We've stayed OKW almost every trip to WDW so it sort of is like our home away from home.

Once inside we head over to get checked in. I go to the counter and DH takes DS walking around to keep him busy.

Me getting us checked in while the DVC sales lady lurks behind me.

Around the Marina...

Once I get us all checked in, I'm told that our room is not ready yet. I didn't really think it would be since it is only 8:30 in the morning by this point. We took all of our paper work and our Key to the World cards and headed out. Where will we go on our first day???

We get through baggage checks and the turnstyle and then head over to rent a stroller for DS. I paid and we got our name tag ready, DS jumps in the stroller and this is what we see.....

THEY CHANGED THE STROLLERS!! They are now much shorter than they used to be. Bummer! This will obviously be DS's last year getting to ride. Not sure what our trips will be like next year if he has to walk all day long. I think we will end up at a MUCH slower pace.

We head into the park and somehow come across an empty photopass photographer! That's never happened to us before. So we ask him to take our picture....

I asked him if we could get the Simba picture. This is what we ended up with....

Guess we will have to try for that one again some other time.

After our photo session we let DS choose where to go first. He decided on....

You got it!! A 2 week safari!

Up next....a 2 week safari and our day at Animal Kingdom!

We love OKW but agreed that we need to TRY to start branching out more. We did POR in May and liked it. They had a lot more activities and things going on over there. I would LOVE to try the Beach Club but we will have to do a little more saving before that one.

Yeah, I thought that was strange too. Maybe it's because he wasn't holding his elbow up right or something. (?) Who knows. Maybe next time.

Yep!! Exactly 4 months from today we will be boarding the Wonder for our first Disney Cruise! We are doing a 4 night. Can't wait!! My first glimpse of the ocean EVER!

I know we've discussed strollers on another PTR... but I have another question. We the strollers changed in all of the parks? Did they all shrink?

I'm worried we are going to have to shell out $200 to rent a double stroller for the week because those singles look soooo small. And my kids won't sit in a regular stroller so bringing one is out of the question for us.

Yes, there were definitely less people tripping over ours. In fact I don't think we had anyone trip over it this trip which is unusual. I did get hit in the ankles a few times on this trip but those were personal strollers. So in that aspect it is good that they changed them. Just a bummer that ds can no longer hitch a ride when he gets tired.

Me too!! This is a major first for us. There will be TONS of pictures. I'm looking in to getting a cheap-ish underwater digital camera. I know there are baggies and other things you can put your camera in but I just don't want to chance it. I'd rather just get a cheap water proof one.

Today I brought DS to see the new Jonas Brothers Concert movie in Digital 3D. I sort of groaned at the thought of doing this when DS told me yesterday that he would like to attend the Jonas Brothers concert "one day". However, I would rather sit in a theater than be inside the madness that is one of their concerts. Anyway.....

It was really good!! We had so much fun and it was probably better than a concert because you can actually see everything. The picture and 3D sound was crisp and clear and you felt like you were there. DS had a BLAST. There are also special guests Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift in the movie.

DS had a red shirt on today. At the end of the movie after the credits roll, the Jonas Brothers are sitting in a theater with the 3D glasses on talking about how good the movie is and they poke at you and stuff. At one point one of them says "Hey! You in the red shirt....can I have some popcorn?" DS screamed and ducked. Totally freaked him out. I was laughing so hard I could hardly tell him it wasn't "real". Then he was embarrassed afterward. We both had a good laugh about that all the way back to the car.
