February Losers!

Hi Joy1619,

it is about time Burris took his head out of his but, and the Patriots won last night - my football teams are doing well this week. As for the thumping noise on the treadmill, i put my ipod on - don't hear the noise anymore. what is worse is i have an advance fit machine (shakes the heck out of you) and when you feel the skin on your kneck flap then i know i have to keep going, anyhow back to the gym - chat with you later. Keep up the good work everyone

Shunasee, good luck on the boot camp, i started mine last wednesday and i think it took me 2 days to sit properly. our trainer has us doing nothing but pushups and lunges. see what happens this wednesday.

Good Morning!

The Weigh in went well, dropped 1.2 lbs. I did a trial boot camp yesterday morning, it was brutal! I am so going to sign up for it! :lmao:

The boot camp is mildly scary. Just the one day i was pushed harder than I ever have been. Luckly yesterday morning was an in the gym boot camp as it was raining here. (amazing last monday it was 113 and then yesterday it was almost a full 50 degrees cooler and raining)

I hope everyone is doing great!!

good for you Shunasee, keep up the good work.

I weigh in tomorrow - keep my fingers crossed. after all this working out i better drop a couple of lbs.

4months, 4 days to loose 30lbs

Keep up the great work everyone..

Fabulous! I put on a couple of pounds. I have no one to blame but me.

I completely enjoy baking, but I enjoy the eating of the baked goods too. Used to be that I could bring everything to work and ignore it all. However, my DH and SD, have now decided that I must leave the baked goods at home. Darn them.

We are headed to Las Vegas this weekend, so I am going to attempt to do a ton of walking, since Vegas is good for that. No buffets for me. (i dont care for them really anyway)

Have a great weekend guys!!!

Wow All of these goal are totally possible by feb! I lost 60 pounds in ~3 months going low carb and doing p90x. for many p90x is a bit extreme but honestly any form of exercise will do ride a bike, take a walk, etc as long as it is more than 20 minutes of exercise. Remember weight loss is 80% changing the way you eat.
I also recommend using dailyburn.com (i cant post links yet haha) just use the free version and put in your goals and record what you eat. if you have an iphone there is a dailyburn app as well to make food recording easy. just stick to it it only a few months out of your life and you will feel much better!

Hi Everyone! I'm Lisa, from PA. I don't have a February trip planned, so I really can't join you in this particular thread (I am losing for an April trip though!). But I saw the title and I had to post to you all!

In October 2006, I set out to do exactly what you are doing - lose weight for my February 2007 trip. And I succeeded! (I've recently gained from pregnancy and knee injury, but that's a different story.) I just wanted to tell you that it felt SO wonderful on that trip, even though I still had a few pounds yet to lose after the trip. (I set an agressive goal, figuring if I shot for the moon, I'd at least land among the stars). Throughout most of my life, I have hated pictures of me. But I love every picture from that February trip. I still have them out! I had two pairs of jeans that I knew I wanted to take on that trip and so I tried them on every month or every 3 weeks. Of course I got on the scale too, but seeing the difference in clothing is so tangible! Anyhow, I ended up fitting into them by the trip. It was invigorating!

I lost the last 10 pounds between the Feb trip and May, when I went to DL with my Sis out in Cali. She stood next to me in the mirror and said: "Hey! When did you get to be as skinny as me!?" And she was right! (not really skinny, but at least smaller than I was)

Christmas and Thanksgiving are tough times to diet - but my gym did a 2 hour power spin class the night before thanksgiving and a few days before christmas. It REALLY helped!

Disney is a great motivator - and I believe in all of you! You can do it!!!! :cheer2:

(Now I have to go find an April thread.... LOL)

Thanks for the encouragement! And way to go Feb losers! Shunasee we all have setbacks and that's okay - I weighed in before my bro-in-law's wedding last weekend (and it was Thanksgiving too, bleh) and I'm going to go hard for a couple of weeks before doing another weigh-in...but at my weight in before the weekend I hit the 60 pounds lost mark!! woo hoo! I feel like a normal-sized person now, and the seats on planes feel much roomier :rotfl:

So now only 38 or so to go (won't know til I get there)

I want to get in on this but I am still nursing (see signature):lovestruc I haven't started weening yet but I have started the diet i.e. high protein and little to no carbs and walking every day instead of every other day. Any other tips and suggestions would be helpful though. BTW I love this thread it is so encouraging :thumbsup2 Also, I have lost 3 lbs so far!

Hello all feb losers

Did the weigh in yesterday didn't loose any weight but lost 1" off my waste line. I guess the personal trainer is paying off along with the boot camp.

Keep up the great work everyone

Hi everyone!

I hope I can join as well. I know I'm a little late posting but I've got the same goals. I'm hoping to go to the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon in February '11.

I'm not looking to necessarily just 'lose weight' so much as gain strength. I'm totally terrified of running this marathon as it's my first marathon ever (and in a different country to boot!) but I'm trying to break it down so I can handle it in pieces.

So far I'm going up and down the same 3-5 pounds. I was sick last week and I had to start physio therapy because of bad arches but I'm almost back on track :lmao: now.

I definitely need to work on cutting out the carbs. My boyfriend and I love our pasta and breads. It's tough to change that habit.
