Hi All,

Just weighing up some options for a return to DLP next year, son will start school in September so got to factor this in now - BOO!!!!

Thinking about going during the February Half-Term, anyone ever been during this period and could give me any advice please?

Things I'm interested in are crowd size, weather, number of attractions closed etc.

Also, does anyone know if easyJet substantially increase their prices during school holidays?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks in advance.
John.

As far as I know Easyjet don't bother about things like that. When they release the fares, everyday starts at the same price. Then the prices just go up faster on the popular dates.

Flights from mid October will be released soon. If you know the dates you want then try to book as soon as they come out.

Thanks Becky, that's good news anyway!

Anyone with any other thoughts on that time of year?

Thanks
John

John, I've had a look through the trip reports but did not see any for this time of year.
Hopefully someone else will be able to chip in :)

Expect it to be very cold, in March 2004 it was bitterly cold with sleet and snow.
March this year was cold but manageable.
Storybook Ride, Casey Jnr train and Autopia will be closed for the season.
Don't know about crowds - sorry. :)

have you thought about asking school how they feel about you taking your son out for a week in term time? i know some are really strict about this but ours are great about it-in fact the head ven said she wouldn`t wait till holidays becasue of the price ,i know someone who went this feb half term and we went 6th march in term time and i think it was a lot busier in half term ,it can`t do any harm to ask ,we`re taking all three of ours out next march again and don`t feel in the slightest bit guilty about it anymore!!!

John, a friend of mine took her family at Feb half-term last year and found the weather was soooo cold it was almost unbearable and unfortunately they were ill so were unable to enjoy themselves fully. The good thing was the kids go free offer that was on then.

They have just returned from a trip this May half-term and enjoyed themselves so much more because of the warmer weather.

Hope this helps. :)

i have to agree..we were freezing ,but i thought this year was meant to be abnormally cold !
