February Exercise Challenge--Let's get moving and take care of our hearts!

Ok, I am in too! I will start with my goal at 800 mins (hoping to be able to set a higher goal next month).

I did 35 mins on the elliptical today at the Y, so I am at 35/800!
 

Today:

Run 7.75/ Walk 2.5

Total time: 2 hours 27 minutes

Brings me to:

249/3000

Rose, you asked about my surgery. Both of my knees are shot--they need to be replaced; I have Grade IV osteoarthritis in both of them (I'm "only" 55 years old). But acutely, I also have bad complex meniscal tear in both knees, with the right much worse than the left. That one also has a torn MCL. It was probably from overuse, but falling during a dog agility competition last year didn't help any! I have been using a cane to walk since that fall. So, on 28Feb, they're going to try to fix the tear to see if that will allow me to defer a full knee replacement for just a little longer. I am comfortable with that plan. I think if I can get a little relief from that, I will feel much better.

I am just hoping that the surgery won't slow me down for too long. My dog has qualified for the CPE Nationals in June, and I want to take her there. Unfortunately, she won't run for anyone except me. But how can I fault her for loving her momma too much?

Got hopelessly lost today trying to find my running group so eneded up back home for my run/walk and core and plank for 60 mn.
