Winter escape--Disney take me away!

Have visited Disney solo and with family and friends 12 times so far. Making next solo visit Feb. 5 - 12, 2011. Would like to share the fun and sunshine (I hope) with other solo travelers. Love the parks (not a huge ride fan but I'm a pro at holding backpacks), love the shows, love the parades, love exploring the hotels. Super Bowl is Feb. 6, hopefully the winner will "go to Disney" the next day. Looking forward to R&R and would like to meet some new folks too. Enjoy your trip--I can't wait for mine.

I'll be there solo for part of the time that you're there. I booked a last minute trip to get out of the snow and cold temps for a few days, so I arrive Feb. 7th. I have 1 day planned at Epcot and 3 ADR's so far. May also decide to do the Segway tour at FW if weather is good. Other than those plans, I'm just hanging out at the resort watching the animals.

Maybe we can meet up sometime. PM me.

Hi Terri, No clue how to PM here. Am having lunch with an imagineer on 2/7, then hopefully getting to the MK to see the Super Bowl MVP in the afternoon parade (if they still do that). Have some plans for off park trips toward the end of the week. Please let me know how to PM here so we can catch up. I definitely need a break from the 30" of snow on my deck...I'm sure you need a break, too. Kelly

I am so ready to get out of here also, just cleaned another 6 inches off my driveway again yesterday. We're quickly approaching record snowfall this winter and it's still January. I really need some nice weather.

Yes, another 8 - 16" of snow/ice/ick Tuesday - Thursday this week, and potentially a little more snow for Saturday when I fly to Disney. There is a good three feet of snow on my patio. At the office last week we had a simple request: we wanted to see the grass again.

I have a theory about the horrible winter. In January, the local ABC affiliate chose not to renew the contract of the 25+ year, well loved weatherman and he hasn't been on the air since. Well, look what happened. I put this snowmageddon squarely on the shoulders of the management at WTNH channel 8in New Haven. Bring back Geoff Fox!

Today is departure day....and my first flight was canceled. Another victim of global warming. New flight is 58 minutes from departing. Looks foggy but otherwise OK. Hopefully I'll be at Downtown Disney by 9.... Wooo hoooo Mickey here I come!
