My family is!
We're from Ohio, and we're sailing for our first time too.
I'm bringing my best friend because I'm the oldest by far of the kids.

:]

My husband and I are going Feb 24. It will be our first cruise too! We are celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary(2/25).:wizard: We live in IL.

My niece told me about Disboards.com. Besides booking the cruise, all Ive done so far is apply for passports. What are you doing to get ready?:scared1:

We got our passports within two weeks of applying for them. I thought it would take much longer with the new rules in effect, I figured there would be a large volume of applications.

We're going on Feb.24th and it's our first cruise too...There will be 9 :grouphug: of us

Oh and one more...our PalMickey ::MickeyMo is joining us

Can't Wait...Can't Wait!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Did you plan any excursions? On our first cruise, we didn't do any. Just took a carriage tour and walked through the straw market because the kids were really young (2 1/2 and 8 mo at the time).

This time, we're thinking of Ardastra or Historic City Tour (with DCL) and the Pirate Museum in the other half of the day.

Before our cruise last year, we had more than a year to plan, I remember counting the days before I could book excursions or register the kids online... now this is such a last minute thing... :scared1:

We're going on the 24th too!
This will be our 4th time, 3rd time on the wonder...we'll be staying at the pop from the 22nd to 24th...very excited, but going to miss 6-month old very much (leaving him with my parents)...took my 4-yr old when he was 18 months and it wasn't much of a vacation for us:) so leaving the little one behind this time...we'll probably stay on the ship in nassau, not one of our favorite places, but what is the pirate museum?:confused3

We finally decided to go on the Ardastra tour. We tought the kids would like it better than the city tour only.

The Pirate Museum is just behind the straw market. We didn't go on our last cruise, but I read many good comments here! pirate:

Thanks so much for the info on the pirate museum! :thumbsup2 this must be something fairly new b/c i don't remember it being offered the last time we were down there...

I am getting so excited!! :woohoo: We are doing the Dolphin Encounter in Nassau. That night we are going to Palo's for our anniversary. Dreamtoreality, Hope your daughter's birthday is extra magical too!princess:

I have my pirate costume already to go, but havent really started packing yet, just making lists.

We will be at Beach Club on the 21.

Thank you Sally. We too are doing the Dolphin Encounter on the 25th and wow what magical celebrations.. Happy Anniversary!

At Castaway we're doing the float/snorkel/bike ride (Getaway Package). I'm guessing the pirate's party is Tuesday night? I don't plan on getting costumed but I understand they give you bandanas, or is that something else to be packed?

Wednesday night Palo.

PS: I was wondering are there any helpful packing lists here on the boards (newbie here)? I have a list in my mind but thats not enough.lol Also w/ it being land/sea trip maybe packing for cruise separately makes sense? Any helpful suggestions are appreciated.

Exciting!!!:cool1: :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hello everyone!

We will be going to the Palo brunch on Wednesday. This will be a first for us. :cloud9: We did the Palo dinner on our last cruise.

For Pirate Night pirate: , DBF and DS both have Jack Sparrow costumes. Last time, DD had a pink dress and we bought her Pirate Princess Mickey Ears to match. Maybe I will bring her Tinkerbell costume Santa brought for Christmas this time... I wore capris and a pirate style shirt with a pirate hat last year, don't know if I wan't to do it again... And yes, they do give you a bandana once you arrive at dinner.

I see Jessaboo is from Ohio, we are from IL. Where is everyone else from? I am praying for good weather for our flight, and not a blizzard in Chicago.

We are doing the sting ray thing on CC we did the dolphin thing a few years ago when we vacationed at Atlantis and we were not impressed in the least. The staff treated everyone like cattle herding us here and there, okay in the water , now pet pet pet, okay out of the water and into the gift shop. The thing that really bugged me was when the children were petting the dolphin there was no personal photographs allowed. That is always a deal breaker for me.

I complained loudly about that since it was not stated in advance of me paying for the trip.

The photography rule may have changed but you might want to verify that to be sure.
