February 2025 W.I.S.H. - Give yourself some love

I'm taking the morning "off" and making a run to the neighboring town with modern shopping. I'm determined not to buy a lot of new stuff for the new place, but one thing I do want is a vanity tray to put my facecare stuff on. I haven't had an actual vanity for almost 20 years (it was always pedestal sinks), so it'll be a little celebration.

This afternoon it is just cleaning, because other than that I am finally done-done. Ready to go. Ready to be gone.

I got 11 right on the quiz. I should have had like 2 more correct but I second guessed myself.

I went to Jazzercise on Saturday but yesterday I was on the couch most of the day. I was having sinus/headache issues. I am doing better today. Other than that it was a nice weekend.

I am not sure what my motivation is this week other then to keep my momentum going with Jazzercise. I think I am going to go tonight and Wednesday. My plan is to keep with 3 days a week. It is such a good work out. Then get some walking in on the other days.

This is the big move week. Still having all the emotions... happy and ready to go but also sad over the little things, like I'll never look out that window again. I've been stress eating and need to get back-on-track asap. I'm using the move-in as a metal break... as-in no bad food in the new place. I've been trying to think of a first meal to cook in the new kitchen, maybe a meatloaf that'll also cover sandwiches for a couple days.

Hello everyone!!! Very busy weekend for us/myself so I am just now catching up!!!

I babysat Friday and Sunday for my niece and granddaughter, we had a great time!! My granddaughter is getting so big and she’s so pleasant, we just adore her.

Motivation this week is the weather being in the 50s and sunny!!! My lunchtime was was delightful!!

Have a great Monday!!

Motivation is to keep it mentally together this week. Last week was tough emotionally so I am hoping this week is better. I legit had a song that was making me sad playing on repeat in my brain for an hour today!
Having pretty much every night booked with something to do for the kids should help keep my mind busy.
Hoping to squeeze in a trip or two to the gym this week…but we’ll see if folks actually pay attention to the time I blocked off on my calendar or just schedule over it. Did squeeze in a “fit with Rick” video today during a break so that felt pretty good.

I’m off today to get my crown done. I have a very nice dentist, but I’m still quite phobic about getting anything done with my mouth because of years of horrible experiences. I would rather go to the gynecologist honestly. They will be giving me nitrous oxide which will take the edge off.

As much as I don’t want to go, I’m grateful that they are seeing me today. The temporary filling they put in is completely gone and I have been worried about making it worse.

I will let you know how it goes…

Having a cup of bone broth daily was a good positive change. This is one of the things that has fallen by the wayside the last couple weeks, but I'm going to order more and pick the habit back up.

Daily morning pages of journaling is also a good daily practice, it gets my mind to settle into the day. As part of this I pull a daily tarot card and reflect on its message, and I also try to remember to write a Love Letter.

Man-o-man was yesterday a day. I felt crappy and had some caffeine to get going which was a mistake and made the day much more difficult. It is the first time in the moving process that I have encountered obstacles, and instead of being able to flow with it I was angry and frustrated. By the end of the day everything had worked out and things were accomplished, so I'm thankful for that.

Walking on the treadmill has been the best routine for me, because the weather is no excuse!

Having an evening chore routine actually written down is a must for me, because my brain is mush by then.

I had a routine for a while of reading by a sunny window in the morning, and I'd really like to get back to that.

Woohoo... life's an adventure, right? That's the whole point of it?

Yesterday was my first time actually seeing the apartment. I chose an unrenovated one, to stay at the price-point I wanted to be at, and some of it is tired looking, but I really like it. The outlook is exactly what I wanted... south facing and an unobstructed view. And I can see the sky, which I really missed in this house because it is surrounded by tall evergreens.

On the way back to PT after picking up the keys, the relocation coordinator called and said the movers were able to shift things around and pack and load me today then deliver tomorrow, so I guess my meltdown paid off. This is so much easier particularly on the cats, as they can be in the bathroom during the day today and will only need to be in their carriers for the drive.

The packers should be here in about half an hour and I'm as ready as a person can be. And tired, really tired.
