We still can't decide on when we want to make our next visit. Right now our top contenders are...

February 5th - 10th, 2023
December 6th - 12th, 2023

I assume crowds would be better in February. But I wonder how many rides will be down for refurbishment? Our son is autistic and would be sad if his favorite (Peter Pan, Mr. Toad, Small World, Autopia) were down for refurb.

We do enjoy the Christmas decorations but December can be trickier for my husband to miss a week of work.

There are pros/cons for either so I just can't decide!

Any thoughts?

Feb Pros
- Small world will probably be open again by that week in February.
- less crowds than Dec
Feb Cons
- sweethearts nite will probably be the Tues and Thursday of that week which means Disneyland will close early
- shorter hours and no fantasmic or fireworks during the week

Dec Pros
- longer hours and more entertainment
- less chance of ride closures
- maybe no after hour events? They didn’t do the Christmas party this year but no guarantee they won’t do it next year

Dec Cons
- crowds

Any idea when they would announce the Sweethearts event dates?

Last year they were announced on Dec 7. I would expect sometime around the first or second week of December if they plan to do it this year.

Though we can safely guess it’s usually Tuesday, Thursday, and Sundays in Feb until Valentines Day with an event on actual Valentines Day

Thanks. We're doing 5-day hoppers plus a 1 day, 1 park (for Disneyland only that day) so I want to make sure we don't reserve our 1 day ticket for the day of a party since we won't be going to that.

Any guesses if rides other than girzzy river run might be down for seasonal refurbs or holiday overlay removal that week?

Also, any guesses as to how Mickey and Minnie’s Railway opening might affect crowds then?

Lastly, does the DL early closure have a big impact on DCA crowds on nights like that?

Thanks for any help/input!

We are thinking of going 2/4 - 2/8, with 5 day hoppers.

I think Indiana Jones might end up being down for refurb in February. It definitely needs it.
Holiday overlays should all be taken down by then.

Yes, DCA will be more crowded the evening of the Sweetheart parties (if they have them.)
