I think we will be at the Country Inn & Suites....seems like the best option.. Free breakfast, and close proximity to port should make for an easy departure morning

Yea! I had a successful morning on the phone- we are now booked for the Hyatt @ MCO and United flights down on Friday the 18th and back on Sunday the 27th.

Over a year ago, we bought a Choice Voucher from Hyatt for the Feb 10 cruise we ended up postponing until Feb 11. I was able to use that for our overnight at the airport.

And this past April when we went to WDW, we chose to get bumped and arrive a few hours later for free vouchers. Those were accepted too!

Two major reservations done!

Now maybe I should do something productive around the house....

I just got vouchers myself on Saturday. Flying home from WDW and volunteered to wait for the next flight to JFK, and now we have 3 $200 vouchers to use for the cruise airfare!!

awesome! That will make a big difference. I was a bit shocked at how high the prices are for that week.

Wow, you have taken care of alot. I booked DCL transfers, but that's it. We will fly SWA & those flights don't come out til the fall. I still need to book Hyatt MCO too.
I have been trying to find things to wear. I am struggling w/what to wear for formal night. I also need to buy a tie & slacks for my toddler.
After Halloween, I will get the pirate costumes for the boys & DH. I'm not sure I want to get into a full costume. I may get a few pieces to wear w/what I have.

We will be staying at the MCO Hyatt the night before as well! We'll be using the DCL transfers as it's just the 2 of us and the savings of renting a car are slim.

I know! i saw that. I won't buy them til after Sept though. I have credit that will expire mid sept & then I can extend the credit & use it towards the flight.

also: when booking travel insurance, what should we list as main destination since we have multiple stops? remember, i am very much like sgt. schultz= "I know NOTHING!"

I would like to know more as well. For the first cruise we did get insurance. I don't know what kind or from where. I also know that it is important to get it within a small window after you book the cruise. Well, we missed that.

So can anyone recommend what insurance and from where? Is it necessary?

Ok, you can get rid of our ??????. We are cruise virgins. I finally got DH to agree to a cruise after the kids and I took care of all of the leaves in the front yard ( last fall) while he was away. We had made a HUGE pile and I sent him a pic of the kids buried in it. He responded by asking if we were going to clean them up and so we asked what it was worth to him. He asked what we thought and we said a Disney Cruise. A few hours later we sent him a pic of a pristine, leave free front yard and asked him how it looked. He answered "expensive".

We are thoroughly looking forward to this.

I got that email too! I have been checking their website for weeks, ready to book my airfare. I will feel much better once my flights are booked Monday morning..one more detail to check off my cruise "to-do" list
