February 16, 2013 WONDERful 5-Night Western Caribbean ~ out of Port of Miami

Welcome mamma22!
We are also flying out of NYC. Are you flying in before or the day of the cruise?

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hi everyone! I booked this cruise while on the Fantasy last month:cool1: We were still on the fence about it since the airfare was ridiculous- but tonight I checked and what had been $600+ airfare was $250 per person so I booked it and we are now officially going, yeah! We are from northern NJ (flying out of NYC) and my husband and I will be travelling with our kids DD12, DS10, and DS5. Please sign us up for the FE if someone is organizing please:thumbsup2

Hi, Mama22, I finally made it over here and welcome you to our group, it's going to be a BLAST:banana:!

YAY for the airfare coming down!!! I happen to know that you're already on our Fb :goodvibesgroup (yay for that too lol) and you can find the sign-up for the FE there, that is the link to the spreadsheet that lovely Lois (I:worship:her computer skills) set up for us there, I'll make sure to bump it up for you:dance3:

Welcome! We are looking forward to this cruise with several kiddies from 3 through 10. I am trying to talk my 16 year old granddaughter into joining us - she thinks she is too old :))). We took her on a Disney cruise when she was 5, and I don't think she remembers much about that - she just thinks she is too old! - so what can I tell her to convince her to join us???
Lois

Well I already know (from Fb) that you did manage to convince her, what did you tell her that made her change her mind, though?

If you haven't already told her, you should let her know that kid and teen reviews of their respective on-board clubs are 99.9% POSITIVE, and that most parents have a difficult time dragging the kids away! The reviews I've read make me wish I were still a kid LOL!

(I did read that some parents set a rule that their kids HAVE to join them for dinner each night - some add in breakfast too!, or else they'd never see the kids except when it's bedtime:)

We just booked this cruise and would love to be involved in the fish extender activity! How do we go about it?

Hi, and welcome to our group, 3and7equalsDisney :goodvibes. I'm so excited for you for booking this cruise, this is shaping up to be a great group :dance3:and the cruise is going to be a real blast:banana:!!!

We have a group on Facebook, it's a closed group so you have to request to join, but that is easy.

One of our ladies (Lois) created this wonderful spreadsheet for us on Google Docs to organize FE information. You can enter the info for your own family there. I *met* your teenager via a PM here and I sent her the links, but I'll repost them here for you anyway.

February 16, 2013 Disney Wonder 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruise or https://www.facebook.com/groups/247656448676724/263287240446978/#!/groups/247656448676724/ and then, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ak9XN1FzBHZwdFFDdzQwZnhZNS03MG5Pb1NqelJObnc#gid=0. Not just for the FE, it's also for a meet-up or 2 (or 3?) onboard.

Also on the Fb group is a document listing more links to other resources for more information :).

Hope to see you around the web:yay:

P.S. I <3 your DIS screenname, what does it mean?

Well, it was really funny - I couldn't figure out why she didn't want to come - it turned out that she didn't want to stay in the same cabin as her 10 year old sister :rotfl2::rotfl2: . . . so I told her she could sleep in our room on the sofa and she said "OK". Glad to see there is another teen girl in our group - Lauren loves to have someone to hang around with! Now I just have to make sure this doesn't conflict with her school schedule - and that she keeps her grades up!

Lois, that is too cute LOL. Having raised 3 daughters including through adolesence (sp?), I have heard the same sentiment:rotfl: Kids can be so funny sometimes, can't they? I hope that she keeps her grades up (is the cruise during her break?) too. I think when she gets a little older and looks back on it, she'll be glad she changed her mind.

Mark's grandmother offered her 5 grandchildren (back in the 70's) a cruise or the cash equivalent. Mark and 2 of his cousins chose the cruise, one cousin and his brother wanted the $$. Mark remembers that cruise with such warmth. I wonder if his brother and the 1 cousin ever regretted choosing the money. I am pretty sure that the money was gone in a blink, but those cruise memories :beach:are forever a part of the 3 who went.

My daughter is 16 and will be cruising also. I was looking at my reservation last night and got all excited. I want to go NOW!!! Can't wait to meet you all.
I'm sure as it gets closer we will plan meets and such. this was me last night
:yay::yay::yay::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
