Can't wait to meet you all :banana::cool1::cool1:

I'll be on this cruise with my BFF (Mjasp) and her daughters! It's a girl's vacation for us! Woot! Woot! :woohoo: This will be my FIRST Disney Cruise!

Hi!

Where on Long Island are you from? We live on the South Shore.

Us to...South Shore in Western Suffolk Cty, how about you...Feel free to send a PM

By my count there are now 4 of us: vulchie, mom3girls2000, ptmmg and me (nchristeutah).

We went on the Dream last year and I admit I was a little concerned that we might not like the Wonder as much. But after talking to my cousin who has done SO many Disney cruises, I think it will be great. Because the ship is smaller he says it just feels a little more intimate and his family doesn't get as overwhelmed by the crowds. On Castaway Cay there is more space to move around with less people. And even though it is missing some of the fun features of the newer ships, it has a charm all its own.

Here's hoping we all just love it!

I was on the Dream last August and like the Magic and Wonder much better :thumbsup2

Really??!! We were on the Dream last September and loved it. Going on Fantasy this September! Why did you feel Magic & Wonder are better?

We find that there is more to do on the Magic and Wonder and the adult areas are more "hopping" also, we found the Dream boring at night.

I'm not going back through the pages to see who asked, but someone asked about the port of Miami, we sailed out of Miami this past February.

Maybe I can answer what you'd like to know.

I will stop over on the Facebook page later this afternoon, see you all then :)

Hi Max!

I attempted a PM, but since I'm NEW here, I wasn't permitted to send it. (I need to have 10 postings under my belt.) So I went to the fb page and clicked JOIN. If you see a Laura there, It's me!!

Another Long Islander here (grew up in Hewlett area, now live east of Riverhead on North Fork)... not 100% sure we'll be on this cruise, but leaning toward it, with some friends (also LI'ers) :)

hardingk, if you have intel on airfare, i'd love to learn as i am currently waiting for SWA to open their schedule beyond early Jan.

Hope we can make this a reality!

Welcome! Hope to sail with you!

Airfare is crazy!!! We are doing b2b and have flight down on the 15th already, but no flight home. We may have to fly SWA home!

If you are even thinking about sailing and flying down on a day or two before the cruise, check out hotels....they too are CRAZY PRICED!!!

Yup! Can't wait! Did you get my PM about the airfare?

Hi Yes I did. We just booked air yesterday. American Airlines out of La Guardia for $330 per person r/t. That price is unheard of for winter break.
I am a Southwest person myself since I park for free and the airport is about 15 minutes away and so convenient, but I really want to fly into Miami and take DCL transfers. We flew into Fort Lauderdale in February for our Carnival cruise and the shuttle never showed up to take us back to the airport, and I don't want to deal with that again.

GiGi...C'mon just book the cruise and fly with us on AA, the rate goes up and down so you have to watch it everyday.

That is awesome airfare! I have been watching our return everyday too!! Are you flying down the morning of?

Yes we are flying down the morning of, first time I have ever done that, but a few years ago, I booked air to fly down the day before in case of bad weather and on Valentines day there was that big ice storm in NY and we couldn't get out and because it was the break all flights were booked and although our cruise wasn't leaving until the 15th, we still missed it, but if I booked the day of, I would have made it. Moral of the story...When you fly during winter break, if it's meant to be it's meant to be.
