February 13, 2011 - 7 Night Mexican Riviera Sailing on the Wonder

I was finally able to book an excursion for our first day in Cabo. Hope this is a good sign for the rest of you who are looking to do the same. :)

Hey! For those of you who had Palo Brunch reserved for Day #3 and were wondering how Disney was going to handle it now that Day #3 is a Port Day, I just went on-line and checked "My Cruise Activities" and they have changed my Palo Brunch Reservation from Day #3 to Day #5. I am sure they are doing that to everyone's Palo Brunch Reservations for that day. I'm so relieved:cloud9: I was really worried that they would cancel my reservation. I have never done the Palo Brunch before and was so looking forward to it. Now I can still look forward to it. Maybe since they have finally gotten this issue resolved they will update the on-line website to allow people to make Cabo Excursion Reservations for Day #3.

You're right!!!
Our Day 3 Palo Brunch is now showing for Sea Day #5.
I'm still not sure if I want to do brunch @ Palo. I guess we will have to wait and see the Navigator for Day #5 to see if it conflicts with something we want to do. I kind of wish we could do dinner @ Palo instead.

:worship::worship::thanks:
Switched our 2nd Cabo day to the 1st day. Gives us a later start and time to get back and dress for dinner. What excursions did you sign up for?

Anyone else whale watching on the 1st Cabo day?

party:party:

Yipee..... I booked day 1 of Cabo finally as well! Mom, my youngest, and I are whale watching while the older boys go sport fishing with Grandpa...... then we are swimming with dolphins on the 2nd day (wanted later in the day so we didn't freeze so early in the morning in the water.... just hope we make it to shore).

Now...... to figure out how to get my clothes to fit around all the FE gifts...... I think another suitcase may be necessary lol!

vblossom, thanks for the heads up! Yep, we were also able to book an excursion now for the first day in Cabo. We are going to do the beach resort day, since we already had Dolphins booked in PV and Whale Watching booked for the second day in Cabo. I've been reading tendering in Cabo was quite a wait the first week, so hopefully they have the kinks worked out for us.

Purplejewel, no problem adding us to the roll call list. We are indeed flying in a day early just to be safe. Besides, the kids have never been to LA, so we plan to drive around and sightsee a little. Long range forecast looks promising at least for Cincy, so keep our fingers crossed.

We are doing the "Cabo Resort Pool Getaway" on the 1st Cabo day. Is that the same as you? There are two excursions with similar names. Ours is the resort with the big huts at the tip of the penninsula.

In PV, we're doing the Pirate Sail/Snorkel. pirate: Can't wait to hit the beaches! :cool2:

Awesome Those are our exact plans for Day 1. DH is doing the fishing and the kids and I will whale watch.

People on excursions get priority tenders so we should have no major issues. On our non-excursion day we will just let the crowd clear before we try to leave as we will be in no rush to get anywhere.

In PV we are all Zip-lining :thumbsup2

I love to hear all the excursion plans..

Does anyone have any suggestions for dining rotations?
Right now I requested PTA, so pirate night we're in Parrot Cay, but I'm a newbie.

Do they serve the same food at all the restaurants each night or does it vary?

Hopefully someone will upload menus also.

Have you seen this link from the website? It has most of the menus.

http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships-activities/ships/wonder/dining/

The pirate night menu is the same in every restaurant. Here is the link from the top of the cruise threads.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/DCL-Navigator-4-Day-May28/pages/15_Pirate-menu-front.htm

There are different menus for formal night, pirate night and semi-formal night so you will get different menus each time you go to the "same" restaurant.

Personally I don't care what my dinning rotation is. We enjoyed them all. Tritions is a little more formal so I'm sure it's nice to be there for formal night but whatever I get we will be happy with.

Okay, I can hardly sleep now counting down the days!!! :cool1:

I have a question though... do we know for sure which nights are Pirate night and formal night? I don't see them online stated anywhere.

Only 11 more days!!!!

I need an intervention. I'm going to be late for work because I'm reading navigators:lmao::lmao:

We have had it confirmed by dcl in the middle of the dropping Mazatlan chaos that our formal night is night 3.

The navigators from last week are on the same itinerary as us and they had formal night on night 2 :confused3

It may be worth another call but I have to go to work or I wont be able to afford my trip :)

Should anyone else confirm let us know

I called again last night to ask about formal night and was told again, Night #3, I said that the 1/23 cruise had it on Night #2...The DCL reps. don't know, they only read what is on their computer screen.

Hi ALL...
Just got an email from my TA. dcl has changed the online check in.
Go to my online check in and then view/edit it will review some of the info you already provided. It will then ask for your port check in time. I don't know if at some point it will limit the number of people at a certain time but I assume it may. For those of you wanting to get there early you may want to do this asap.
It doesn't really provide info just asks you to indicate a port check in time in 1/2 hour windows. The 1st one is 10:30-11:00

Thanks!!! Needed the reminder to finish ours up. Staying the night before at the Crowne Plaza, so no reason not to be there early. All booked in for the 10:30am. :yay:

Interesting. I hope that they'll do this to do proper staffing for check in and appearances rather than to limit the amount of people. I never would have found it on their website though, so thanks for the heads up :)

I have no idea when we'll get to the port, even though we're staying at the Crowne Plaza too the night before. I suspect we'll have to make a last minute trip to pick up booze.

I just spoke with a DCL Rep. and she told me that I did not need to go back on-line and re-register in order to pick a specific arrival time because we have booked transportation from the airport to the port by way of the Magical Express so they know when we will be arriving at the port since they have arranged the transportation for us. Just thought I would let others know this so that if they are using Disney Transportation they won't have to worry about this.:flower3:

I suspect TaniaU is probably right and it just gives dcl a heads up of what to expect. Who knows what they will do with it in the future but as most of us have checked in already I'm guessing they will not turn people away that aren't "scheduled"

I'm a little confused about FE delivery. If we don't have/do names how do I deliver them? Do I need to mark them "girl 3"..."Boy 6" etc? I got gender and age specific gifts :confused3
