February 10, 2007 7-Day Western Who's coming?

I read Sheryl's suggestion to do this earlier and I thought it was a great idea, so I'm copying it. A pair of nice black pants, a long dress for formal night, a black skirt for semi-formal night and our dinners in Palo. Lots of mix and match tops. I'm also only bringing a couple of pairs of capris and one pair of shorts. Last cruise I lived in my favourite pair of shorts. Had two other pair I never even looked at.:sad2:

I agree . . . one pair of black pants . . . a multitude of tanks with jacket/blouses for over them, and maybe one sundress should take care of most evenings, a skirt/pant thing for formal night with a glittery tank/jacket, a skirt with tank/jacket for semi formal. Two pairs of capris, two shorts and several tanks for during the day. And a ruffly top for pirate night to pair with black capris and red scarf for pirate night . . . now if I can only cut back on the shoes . . . so far I have narrowed it down to four pair. . . Can't seem to cut it down further . . .

So, Ashley called from the ship with our confirmation number!! I got all the stuff filled out on the website. It still doesn't give me a room number though...it just says "Confirmed" on the place that would normally tell you the number. Don't know what that means...:confused3

Now the panic of what am I going to pack....etc has set in!!!

scott - so great you got your confirmation!!!

We finally received our cruise documents . . . for some dumb reason DCL did not have my on-line registration . . . so we have the full booklet, where ILs have the smaller one . . . who knows . . . I'll have to try and enter it online again . . . what a pain . . . I even called and told them it would not say our forms were complete, even though I entered everything . . . .

TA sent us Disney two way radios . . . cooler than I thought they would be . . . the kids love them. Not sure if we will really use the on the ship, but they will definately at home!

I'm shooting to have the packing done by the game on Sunday . . . I have never been packed that early for any trip . . . but I really want next week to be calm!!! I'll deal with the wrinkles in the clothes when we get on board . . . Just want to be ready and unstressed next week.

Our house/dog sitter is coming over tomorrow to get the lay of the land . . . the house is a pit. DH is pushing to get it spotless by the time they come over tomorrow . . . I just want to pack first then pick up the house . . . . priorities . . . :rotfl2:

Ok fess up..do you have one of your tables covered with stuff to pack/Valentines crap/door signs? My dining room table has not one inch of empty space. My best friend came over the other day and busted out laughing and said they have been eating in the living room because her kitchen table is covered!

OK...there is NOTHING wrong with eating in the living room because the kitchen table is covered. Actually, I don't remember if we have a kitchen table...I think that it may be under that stack of clothes...hmmm...maybe I should look for it there...

DING DING DING...Ladies and Gentlemen we have a winner. This woman got down to four pairs of shoes!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

OMG you did it. It isn't possible to cut it down any more. No way. No how. Let's see, have I made it down to four yet????

Thank goodness for basements...so much more room to spread all that crap, oops, important stuff that I MUST bring out!:rotfl2:

Ok - only half of the kitchen table is covered . . . :) we can eat at the breakfast bar . . . . but at Christmas time, when my closet gave up the ghost, DH set up a clothes rod on wheels in our bedroom to put the clothes on while he fixed the closet . . .the intention was to get the closet fixed and move allthe clothes back to the closet and the thing on wheels would go back to the attic to await the next garage sale . . . .well . . . I never let him take it down. All the families clothes for the cruise are hanging on it, all the other extras are on the shelf below . . . .! We have to squeeze by it everytime we get up, but I'm willing to sacrafice for the good of the vacation!:rotfl2:

I did want to set up a suitcase in the living room, but DH had a fit . . . So the trip was still three weeks away . . . the more I set out early, the less of a crab I am before the trip . . . :thumbsup2 Less stress~!

Ok - I am so ready for this vacation!! Woke to -14 this morning. Yes - that is the temperature, not the windchill!! With Windchill they are predicting up to -40 today!!! or should that be, down to -40 today! :rotfl2: at the moment it is about -25 . . .

I think any last minute shopping will have to wait today . . . I am not going outside!!

A beautiful day here in Ottawa. About -7 C and the sun is so bright, sky so blue and snow so white. We just came in from hot tub... life can be sooo good some times... it's almost hard to leave. well, not really! But it's amazing what a good nights sleep will do for you.:rolleyes1

Hinsok - I too have the rolling rod out! 4 shoes is very reasonable - I can only hope to aspire to that.

And OB - will be thinking of you tonight at the game!! Woohoo! I don't think this day can get better, well I guess it can - if my Sens win.

Had to think for a minute how -7 C compairs to our American temperatures . . . I should have said we woke to -14 F. I think I will take the weather in Ottawa today!! :rotfl2:

I can't believe that you are packing so soon! We leave before the sun on Thursday and I am not going to have time to pack until late Wednesday! What is your secret? Between doctor appointments, cleaning, laundry, doing homework (I am a college student), working (I am off Wednesday!), haircut, getting nails done, and watching the Super Bowl (GO COLTS!!) my time is spoken for! Maybe I should get off of these boards and get busy..... I can't concentrate  too distracted! I am so ready for a vacation! :dance3: Now that I got that off of my chest I can get back to work. Anyone else as frazzled as I am? Thanks all for the packing list. I way overpacked last year so I am trying to figure out how to keep it down this year. We are doing two WDW days before and after the cruise, so packing for 11 days is hard. I see some laundry interrupting my vacation...

I don't know how you have narrowed the shoes down to four. I have to bring a huge suitcase just for shoes for the 4 of us. I always overpack for cruises .... and then still buy too much stuff to fit in them on the way home....

It was a nice warm sunny 80 degrees here in Sunny Southern California :) I did talk to member services at DVC on Wednesday because we are going to Disneyworld the day before and she was hoping it would reach 60. Not very promising. We are hoping to bring our warm weather.

Yeah - it was a great game. I have no voice today - guess *this* is a good place for me. heehee

What sucks the most is that our arena looks more blue than yours!! lol

I actually felt sorry for Alfredsson...imagine a captain being booed in his own barn...not nice...
