Hi eveyon just became a DVC owner we are going in Feb and I beleive the weather cold then help!ue"]:cloud9: [/COLOR]

I've gone a couple times in early February. One time was warm (80) and sunny, one time was cold (60's) and rainy.

We are not owners yet will be in April. We went Feb 6-15 this year. The first three days were so cold you needed a fleece jacket and gloves...and we are from Canada. After that the days were very warm 77-78f but the evenings were very cool and you needed a jacket. If you plan to do pool time you will need to schedule it in the afternoon as it is too cold otherwise. Hopefully that is not the norm but we will not return in February again.....brrrr

Average high is 74 and average low is 51 and is one of the three driest months of the year with 2.35 average rainfall. Just avoid Presidents' Week unless you like it crowded.

We've gone the last 7 years for president's week. Two years were warm and sunny, two were overcast and average, one really cold, and one moderately cold and a little rainy.

You can't really predict. I will say this. If you really like to swim on vacation, swim when you can. If we get a really hot day we adjust our schedule to spend lots of time at the pool. You never know if it will stay that way for the whole trip.

We also like an afternoon break on our trips but if it's cold you'll want to stay at the parks when it's warm.

I find we change our schedule around a little more on our february trips. But on the other hand, [except for pres weekend] crowds are much lighter so it's easier to adjust on the fly.

If you go to www.accuweather.com about two weeks before your trip, you can get a "ballpark" range of what kind of weather to expect within a 15-day period.:thumbsup2

I've found them to be pretty good at predicting (sometimes, better than our local weather folks  ).

The points on the higher side, so DVC expects people to want to go in February. I just don't know. My spring break is in March, and we've done a few days at WDW, a few weeks at VB in March over the years, and we've never hit a really good, consistent week of swimming weather in March.

I think the advice about trying to get a good weather forecast ahead of time is key. You'll know what to expect, bring most of your clothes for that scenerio, with a bit going the other way. We've ENJOYED our March trips, and I hope you will have a great time, too!

I went in FEB once (although I have family that go all the time) the weather can change at the drop of a hat. The one day that sticks out I was wearing shorts then it rained and I was freezing. It is a good time to go though as for the most part the crowds are low and you will not be hot. I would bring clothes for both and always carry a sweatshirt or jacket if you do not need durning the day you will need it at night if you stay for the fireworks.

We have gone several times in Feb. The weather can be very pleasant or it can be a challange. One time that we went in Feb, it was cold and raining when we were standing on the first tee at Eagle Pines on the first day of our vacation. It was actually warmer at home in Minnesota than on that first tee.
It warmed up each day during our trip and by late in the week it was sunny and 80. Needless to say, it wasn't 80 in Minnesota that same February Friday. We have had the same experience weather wise in December as February. I think anytime from Thanksgiving to Presidents Day you can have a spot of nasty weather in FL.

I used to live in Orlando. It is generally pleasant in the winter, but be prepared for cool weather. I can only remember once (on a return trip) that it was really cold. I can also remember coming home from Orlando in a tank top in January. I remember this because, I live in Memphis and I came home to SNOW! We rarely get snow in Memphis. It was really weird. I would not hesitate to go to Disney in the winter months and I don't like cold weather. It will be fine with a little defensive preparation.

We went to Disney this past February. I must say, it was during president's week and it was incredibly crowded, and very cold especially at the beginning of the week. Not sure if we will attend again during President's week.
