Feb. Member Event at Doorway to Dreams (Updated p.11 with incentives)

We will be there tonight(Thurs.)
I've gone to every Doorway to Dreams event like this and have had a good time.
See you all there!

Sat. morning at 10:00 here too. Hopefully they do let us in the bar area. We have been to two events, one we waited in line outside, the other in.
I guess we'll see.

How many people are at each session? This will be our first DTD event (Sunday at 7). Just curious as to how well organized or chaotic this might be. We have 2 DDs, one is 6 and the other is 12 weeks. I would love to add on, but must convince DH.

There are always a lot of people, but usually the events are very well organized. We go just for the fun of it. Have never purchased during the events. They keep the kids very well entertained. My only complaint has been standing outside in the weather. The last one this past summer is was HOT and we were in direct sunlight for quite a while. People started lining up quite early to get a good seat.

Sunday night will probably be cold, so I hope they let us into the entry area, like some prior posters indicated happened last year in February.

someone PLEASE post what the incentives are asap :)
DD & I are going to go Sat at 10am IF the incentives are good enough:thumbsup2
We made a trip to Chicago 2 weekends ago & visited the Doorway to Dreams & we added on 100 pts to BLT. I read about the event later and asked them to put the 100pt transaction on hold until this weekend. It's a pretty long drive for us and DD will be missing her bball game....the sooner we know, the better.
IF we decide not to go, I'll make sure to cancel our reservation so some other Disney lover can attend and enjoy the events.
THANK YOU!!:wizard:

I called the other night and was able to get a reservation for Thurs. night even though it said on line that it was full. We are leaving as soon as the kids get home from school, and hopefully won't hit any bad traffic! It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive. We aren't adding on, just going for some fun and hoping to win something!

You sound like me. We aren't really planning on adding on (DH isn't even going), but I am picking the kids up early from school on Friday and we are driving the 3 hours just to have some fun.

We aren't going until Sunday at 7 p.m. My dds (12 and 6) will be with us. I am so excited! Need to feel the "Disney power" as this weather is really getting to me!! Hopefully someone will post this evening about the event! My dh is considering adding on if the incentives are right. We haven't even been to Disney since we became members so we will see! Since we go to SSR next MONTH this event will really get us in the mood!!:cool1:

We'll be there Sun too... probably won't add-on unless, like you said, the incentives are right - but we want a little Disney fun too. I'm the real Disney junkie in the house, but this little jaunt up was my DW's idea (I just figured she wouldn't want to go like the last time) - but it's her birthday on Sunday so she asked if we could go away for the weekend instead of just going out to eat locally as we normally do for a family birthday - so we're doing just that, and this will be the capper to it all before driving home Monday. The kids are looking forward to the characters and possibly a pin trade, and dinner at Rainforest Cafe beforehand... if we stretch really hard, we might even imagine ourselves at Downtown Disney... plus it's a nice warm-up for the boys and my trip down to FL for Star Wars Weekends, even if that is still 3 months off. :lmao:

I feel horrible that there are people here driving 3+ hours to go this, and I live 15 mins away and can't go :lmao:

If anyone here's more on a lower buy-in that's being mentioned on another thread or incentives please post !

Thanks,

Chris

we are driving 3 hours to get there, but none the less, we are all very excited, hoping the weather holds out. a winter storm watch has been issued for friday night and saturday, with 6" - 8" of snow expected. we are coming from northern indiana (by notre dame), so hopefully the toll road will be clear enough to make it.:wizard:
how early should we get there? we are going to the 10:00 (11:00 our time).
who ever is going tonight, i hope they post what the incentives are.

Wow!! What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday! Perhaps they can give her something special since its "almost" like being at Disney to celebrate?! We will listen for the singing waiters at Rainforest when we dine there that night too!:rotfl:

Well, it's a distant second to actually being able to be at WDW or DLR for an actual birthday this year - so we decided to take it, cold, snow and all... none of us are able to participate in the What Will You Celebrate promotion at the resorts - so this pseudo-celebration will just have to suffice! :rotfl: A Disney fix nonetheless... :wizard:
