Feb. Member Event at Doorway to Dreams (Updated p.11 with incentives)

Can anyone tell me more what to expect?

Any tips on how to get out of there quickly? We obviously need to make the purchase. Don't know how this goes, but someone had mentioned a possible long wait.

Also has anyone been that has nursed a child. I'll bring a cover-up, but just wondering if anyone knows if there are any accomodations.

Any tips of any kind on how to navigate this event with two little kids and a newborn would be great!

Looking forward to it! But also a little nervous.

I was at the February 2008 one with our DS who was 5 months at the time and nursing and DD who was nearly 4. DD had a great time in the area where they had activities for the kids and I didn't really worry about her. From what I remember from the very first event, is that when you go into the room with all of the guides to work on a contract, there was a TV and games etc for the older kids.
As for nursing, the lights are low during the presentation so I just covered up and stayed there. There as a back row of booths which was pretty comfortable. There is also a lounge area when you first enter the Improv, they keep you there until the presentation starts and then you go into the theater area. In the lounge, they have some club chairs. The only people out there are other parents with kids that are melting down.

We hope to add on too but the DS who is now 18 month (on Saturday in fact!) will be hard to contain. We figure when the presentation is wrapping up, we will hit the door to grab a Guide and get started. Of course we will know our plan on Thursday, thanks to all of those that post the incentives right away. And naturally we have a birthday party down in Lisle at 12:30p, so we need to get done fast as well.

we just received our invite today also, but luckinly our guide from there emailed us website when it first was available, so we didn't have to wait for the invite.

We just got ours end of last week! Saw it here first too! lol When you are you guys going to be there? We are Sat at 4 pm....wish we were going to add on, just going to enjoy it!

We're going Saturday at 10am...I didn't see the option with your time available until it was already filled

We're going to the Sat 10am event. I'm a little concerned abt waiting on line OUTSIDE in the cold elements. For the summer events we've waited in a pretty long line for 20 minutes or so.

you are correct. i just confirmed with my guide from dtd, the only entrance into the event will be from the outside doors. we are with you, it is suppose to be about 15 degrees saturday morning.

I called the other night and was able to get a reservation for Thurs. night even though it said on line that it was full. We are leaving as soon as the kids get home from school, and hopefully won't hit any bad traffic! It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive. We aren't adding on, just going for some fun and hoping to win something!

I can only hope they can see we're all freezing and let us in early. I will most likely have 5 kids with me that morning! Ranging from 4 to 9. I can't see standing out there with all of them.

we'll have 2 boys (9 and 8), even at that age, not a lot of patience. Not only cold, but snowy (at least they are saying that now). Hopefully, we can make it. We are coming from northern Indiana (2 1/2 hrs away). We are keeping our fingers crossed:

Hopefully you'll have a great time and will post what kind of incentives they offer - we are going, but not til Sunday. Not sure about adding on anything at this time, but you never know...

I remember the same thing. We walked in from the outside entrance right away and waited in the bar area until we were seated in the club.
