Trip Report Feb Half Term - Day 1 - day 2 - Day 3 - Day 4 - Last day now added- Complete!

Oh I'll... ahem... I mean DS will definately be getting one of the shiny autograph books :rotfl: Can I ask what shop you got it in or did they all have them?

lol! Ollie bought her one in the shop in the HNY but I am sure they have them all over the place - there is a place to put the characters photo opposite which is rather nice especially when the photo is in place as Ollie's is at this stage lol. Hope you have a lovely trip!

More fantastic photos!:thumbsup2

I keep looking to see if I'm in the background of any of your photos!:lmao:

Me too - We look like we were almost opposite where you watched the parade. I am surprised not to see 2 with their neon yellow hats popping up in your photos.:rotfl:

Mickey Mouse got us all up bright an early via the telephone for our family day in DLRP. After some very fast packing - how come the cases are so much fuller going home says dh....erm eh that might be the one or two souvenirs that Ollie & I bought :rotfl2: - oops! anyway managed to close cases after sitting on them! (hope they come in at under 20KGs at airport :rolleyes1) some very fast showers and then we were on our way for our last breakfast in the lounge, we were delighted to be greeted by Goofy this morning

and then the first lady of DLRP herself graced us with her presence!

DH kindly offered to get us checked out and store the bags for the day while we girls went ahead to catch EMHs at the park :cloud9: We headed for space mountain, then buzz, then onto the carousel.

We knew we could fastpass Peter Pan so went on the teacups

IMG_2232.jpg

and then q ed for Dumbo - we had not ridden him and it really is not a complete trip without Dumbo!

IMG_2234.jpg

We were late to rope drop at the studios but managed to get on RC Racer quickly - Angela's first ride on this - she was really impressed! then a bit of a q for parachutes again Angela's first ride on this - again she loved it! We fastpassed RARC and TOT and then the girls wanted to q for RC Racer again dh and I decided to let them off and arranged to meet them at WALTS for our 1.30 dinner reservation. Us oldies took in Cinemagique and Animagique before heading to meet the girls.

All week we had been saying how fantastic our meal at Blue Lagoon was, little did we know what a treat we were in for at WALTS! We were shown to a window table - yay! and given our menus everything looked delicious and it was hard to choose! but the following pictures will show what we opted for!

IMG_2236.jpg

dh & dd2 had the prawns in a potatoe crust with mango bisque and a scallop - they declared it to be sooo yummy!

IMG_2237.jpg

I had the crab Tartar with sesame crackers (and a scallop courtesy of dd2) - it was the most devine thing I have ever eaten!

IMG_2238.jpg

dd1 had the children's menu - tomato & Basil soup followed by fish and chips which she said was great!

For mains I had a well done steak (cooked exactly how I like it!)

IMG_2239.jpg

dh and dd1 had the Chicken supreme which they said was delicious!

IMG_2240.jpg

For dessert I had the cheesecake and have never had such a yummy concoction!

IMG_2243.jpg

dd2 had the same - worth another photo?

IMG_2241.jpg

dh had the Tiramisu which he said was fab!

IMG_2242.jpg

dd2 had the Oreo choc mousse which she loved!

IMG_2244.jpg

Our lunch was a very relaxed two hours and all too soon it was time to have our final wander around the parks - we had a final go on pirates which we hoped to follow with big thunder (alas still broken) but we got to go on Indiana then a final go on small world. All too soon it was time to bid a tearful goodbye to the parks!

We headed back for our final cuppa in the lounge - the afternoon tea was still going so needless to say we just had to partake! We collected our bags and headed out to the VEA which arrived on time and whisked us off to the airport - dd2 cried all the way home! Flight departed on time (just a little situation where the departure gate was changed without informing passengers! - but we made it on board no problem) flight home was uneventful - poor dd2 cried herself to sleep!

DD2 cheered up a little when setting up her castle in her room!

IMG_2249.jpg

She put on her mouse ears and we vowed we would go back!

This thought cheered us up no end and we got down to getting our photos printed to put in our 2011 Disneyland Paris album! (will post a photo later!)

Hope you all enjoyed reading this as much as we had a good time experiencing it!

What a wonderful trip report. I love the castle.
I havent quite been able to bring myself to write my last day on my report - I dont want it all to be over.
My DD (aged 12 on Wednesday) will be glad to hear she isnt the only one who cries when we leave.

Thank you so much - WALT's surpassed itself this year! - we go every single trip for our 'last meal' ! Don't tell anyone (especially my dh :lmao:) but hopefully next year!:lmao:

wonderful trip, lovely TR and great photos. Love Walt's :goodvibes can't wait for my trip.

Enjoyed reading your trip report, looking forward to our 4th visit at the end of May. We are away for my wife's birthday and have been thinking what we can do to celebrate (after a tough year); would love to have the room decorated with a few balloons - did you contact the hotel before hand?

Not the hotel - I emailed guest relations in DLRP back in October when we booked saying the trip was to celebrate our daughter's 18th and was there anything special Disney could add to make the the trip more special - I got a standard response two weeks later saying they noted request and would forward to the hotel - I really wasn't expecting much so was absolutely thrilled with the response. You should perhaps do the same? it would be a lovely surprise for your wife! Best of luck and have a great trip - are you staying at the HNY? It is lovely even without extras! :cloud9:

Aw the very last item to finish our report - we have now added another year album to our collection - 2011 - another fabulous trip!

Thanks, will try sending off an email. No we're staying at the DLH this time, although we stayed in HNY last August and were very impressed with it.
