First of all, I'm a newbie so apologies if I am posting in the wrong area.

We are from the UK and just back from Disneyworld which although we enjoyed the crowds of Easter were a big hassle. Whilst there we upgraded to annual passes which expire 15th March next year.

Therefore planning on a return trip. Because of kids schooling our two options are late Oct - early November or mid Feb - early March.

We really want to avoid the crowds we found at Easter and yet don't want some sun also. Out of our 2 choices can I ask which one people would recommend.

Many Thanks.

If you are looking for warmer weather and sun, go with late October/early November. Crowds will definitely be less than Easter week. I've done late October and it was still very warm, crowds were moderate and very manageable, especially on the weekdays. Mid-February/Early March is very iffy as far as weather. I went the first week in February once and it was 85 every day. This year I went the first week of March and we froze. It was 60 during the day and a very cold 40 at night. It could go either way during those times. That being said, crowds were light, except on Saturday, Magic Kingdom was mobbed. If you decide on mid-February, avoid President's Day weekend, it will be more crowded and possibly rather chilly too.

I would go with late Oct-early Nov. With mid- Feb. you run the risk of hitting Presidents Week here in the states. (one of the most crowded weeks at WDW) also with March you may hit into Spring Break (depending how the holidays fall) I also love late Oct. for the Halloween party, and with Nov. make sure you don't go anytime around Thanksgiving (it crazy then too) Hope this helps!

I would try late October/early November. We have been there in February 2012 and February 2013. The weather is more reliable late October/early November. We have had weather in the 80's and we have had a few days with highs in the 40's in February. They do a lot more ride shutdowns in January and February so we missed Splash Mountain 2 of our 3 past trips, along with River Rapids in AK.
The crowds around Presidents Day are always bad which is mid to end of February - I believe in 2014 it will be the week of Monday, February 17.
We have been going earlier in February. In Feb 2012, it was great and had very low crowds until we got closer to Presidents Day. 2013 was the complete opposite - it was absolutely mobbed - we actually left the parks a bit early because the crowds were so much more than the same week in the prior year - we actually saw some 2 hour lines. They have a bunch of cheerleading competitions and they added additional weekends in February that they had not had in prior years. We are talking about switching things up next year - everyone was complaining about the crowds on our last trip.

Early November is a great time to be at the World. Weather is good, crowds small to moderate at best. Don't go Thanksgiving Week.

We love traveling to WDW the end of October! We have always had beautiful weather, sometimes even too warm. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and EPCOT Food and Wine Festival are great too.
