Fear of Flying...Need help

Okay, I'm kind of new here and I have a huge fear of flying and I'm leaving for Disney in 8 days. I've flown alot before but I've always been uneasy and now since i havent flown after 9/11 and I live in NYC...I'm frieking out. I dont know what I should do to calm my nerves down on the flight. Any suggestions?

Well first of all dont be that nervous cause there is a lot of security.everything will be ok hey and tell me about your trip when you get back

I live on Long Island, and I've flown twice since 9/11.

Honestly, once you're in the airport...it's all very familiar. Get there early, security may or may not take awhile.

To tell you the truth, the security in Florida was a bit better than in New York. I know you don't wanna hear that, lol, but NY's security was good, it just wasn't as extensive. They searched me in NY AND Florida, but in Florida they make me take off my shoes and they searched my carryon. A bit annoying, but it's not like I had anything to hide, and its for a good reason, you know?

They often search random people, so don't give them a hard time if they search you. Once you're in the airport, it's just like it's always been, just with way more security.

Are you flying Jet Blue? ITS AWESOME! lol thats all I have to say about that.

First: Don't be nervous! I also hate flying . . .and I'm going to be 35 . . .

We flew on July 4th . . .before I got to the airport I was very very nervous . . .BUT, after I got through security and went to our gate, I felt better . . .

I did check out my surroundings . . .everyone seemed as nervous as me . . .

Once we got on the plane, all my nervous feelings went away.

I think you'll do just fine . . .you'll see . . .

I have flown 4 times since 9/11 and it's near as bad as I figured it would be!

don't be scared...bring some magazines and all that stuff to keep you calm

well I don't mind flying but I don't like that it takes 2 hours to get to WDW...lol..I'm always like-when will we get there!

Thank you guys sooo much lol. I know I'm a chicken but you guys are helping lol. I figure I'll bring some of my wrestling magazines on board...yes i'm obbsessed...and I cant spell haha. Yeah my parents have flown a few times so now I figure it wont be so bad, thanx so much guys

I went to Disney a week ago. On the plane I was sooo scared. But its soo safe. There is so much security. Just dont think of anything bad happening and everything will be ok!
