We had breakfast with the princesses and left the restaurant at 8:45. Originally, directed into queue for FEA. Then marched out of Norway and then almost immediately marched back into the queue. No one seemed to know what procedure to follow. Waiting for ride now.

Amazing ride! The animatronics are definitely the most advanced I've ever seen. My family's consensus is not worth a 5 hour wait, but worth at most 1 hour. These are people who never get into a more than 30 minute rides ever!!!

Well .......

- They had so little time during the construction to even think about queue lines
- They've never opened a new ride before
- They had no idea this ride would be popular
- They have never had to implement pre-opening ride procedures
- They have never experienced crowds in Norway before
- A&E are so new to Norway, who was to know
Oh wait ..............

Seriously, this should have opened with a clearly defined and implemented plan that all CMs were trained on. It should be a smooth operation every single day and anything else is unacceptable.

2016 seems to be the year of dropping the ball ........

So you got in line for the attraction right after breakfast, then they emptied the queue. Did they march everyone out to where the rest of the rope-drop crowds were? But you still got in line again before the rest of the hordes arrived?

Nope, I'm good but I think Disney .......

Huge WDW fan, will argue to the end their product/service are superior to all the others .... but this year+, they have consistently dropped the ball. We can go from the big ones like Rivers of Light (stop blaming the positioning system, two other parks in Orlando are doing it very well) to the small ones like queue lines ......... a queue line system/pre-opening plan is not rocket science and all we've heard since it opened is inconsistency and CMs not knowing what to do. Not ragging on CMs (my DD was one, and for awhile at a popular attraction so I've heard it all) - this is on attraction/park management. I think a less than hour meeting could have pulled together a solid plan before it ever opened given all the past info they have to work with.

Over the years, I've come to the conclusion that Disney looks like a well-oiled machine to the public....only because Disney has some amazing front line people that create some magic despite some rather terrible processes.

I have a PPO Akershus for September but I am going to try for a fp when my window opens. Ideally, I would love to do the PPO breakfast and fp Soarin but I can't count on getting in the queue before the rope drop crowd.

No. We got off the ride just as the hordes approached. They did let us on right before 9.

OP, what time was your ADR? Trying to figure out how long it takes to meet princesses, eat, and be out of there.

How was your breakfast - do you feel it was rushed? Or were you able to get the full princess experience? We have an 8am Akershus ADR...my FP window opens in a couple of weeks and I'm going nuts trying to nail down a strategy for this day.

We had an 8:05 ADR. They let us in at 7:45. We waked to the world showcase but we're held up by a rope because there was some media event going on. We checked in at the podium a few minutes after 8. As we went in, we took a picture with Belle. We sat down. Had the buffet. They brought out the skillet. A few minutes later Cinderella came out, then Aurora, then Ariel, and then Snow White. We met Cinderella and Aurora and then the princesses did a procession with the little kids. Then we met Ariel and by this time we had paid and we're ready to leave, but my DD (don't ask how old she is...it's embarrassing) refused to leave until meeting Snow White. We had plenty of time, but DD would have liked a few more minutes with Snow White.
