FE - Grownup gifts? - No more mini alcohol bottles!

Hello DIS community. My cruise is coming soon and our FE groups have been finalized... I find myself a little bummed about the prohibition with mini alcohol bottles no longer being allowed.

Curious if you all have had other really fun/creative adult FE gifts along those lines? I really enjoyed them in the past.

**Yes, I know not everyone imbibes but for those of us who do, it was great!**

DCL does not allow guest to bring hard alcohol (spirits) onboard. Even mini-bottles. Only wine or beer (in the amounts specified/per adult).

Maybe you can mention it on your Fish Extender group page. Don't want anyone getting in trouble.

You can still do bottle openers with your cruise group name or sail dates. We had someone give out cocktail flavored jelly belly jelly beans. Useful stuff like a mickey keychain is nice too.

On one cruise we got mini bottles of hot sauce. Excellent for taking to Cabanas to season eggs!

Someone gave the men-folk Darth Vader cuff-links! My DS loves them and wears them on his band shirt Have no idea where one would get them though. But like the hot sauce idea!

As one who thought it was fun to receive mini-bottles, I wish DCL would reconsider its rule or at least revise it to include mini-bottles.

Something "local" to the person giving the gift is alway nice, like in our area we can buy small bottles of maple syrup, maple candies or small bags of locally grown dried cherries. When we lived in Louisiana, we would give gifts of Zapps potato chips, tiny bottles of Tabasco or even small containers of Tony's cajun seasonings.

Then you start having issues with what people consider "mini". Certainly anything smaller than a magnum would be mini, right?

Very true! Thanks y'all - these are some GREAT ideas for sure. I was definitely thinking about the local favorites... being from Texas, we sure are proud of our state I'm sure I can come up with some fun goodies with these suggestions!

Mini bottles of a local hot sauce or bbq sauce would be a neat gift. We like the maple syrup we have gotten too!

Quantity would become an issue too. "What? These 500 mini bottles are just for fish-extender gifts. I'm not going to drink any of them myself!"
