Faxing even with a TA?

I booked my package through a Disney travel agency. I made one room request, and I wasn't worried as we were flying in early that day. I figured we would have options if the room wasn't what we wanted.

But now we have changed flights and are flying in late the previous day. And now I am worried that I will end up with a room location that doesn't suit at all. Is it ok to send a fax even though I had my TA note a request on my reservation. I know the TA owns my reservation at this point, will faxing mess anything up?

It won't mess anything up if you fax, but there's not really much point to it if your TA has already made the request for you. It's already on your reservation record. All the CM getting the fax would do would be to pull up your reservation to add what's on the fax and say "oh....they already made this request."

We had a TA reservation last year and I still sent a fax 6 days prior to our trip, wiith great results, all you need is the reservation number. The only real time that you need the TA to do something is if you need to change the reservation dates or days, all other stuff ADRs APs, room requests, etc. I did.

We also sent a fax and used a TA last trip to POR. We didn't get everything we asked for but we got the most important requests and ended up in a building I didn't request that ended up being perfect! Like you we arrived late at night and I was worried we would end up with the worst room but was pleasantly surprised.

When you fax your request, do you send directly t that resort? Is there a form or can I just use my letterhead and write brief note with request? I feel like a PIA bugging my TA ...

At POR there is a dedicated fax number. Not sure all resorts do that. Where are you staying?

Thank you! Beach Club. I originally was booked at Pop through Disney (and had put in all my requests) but came across a great end of August deal through a TA that only cost $106 more for BC. Couldn't pass up!!

I'm not sure about this, but I had the impression that only the PO resorts accepted/read faxed requests anymore. Was/is that true? OR Has that changed?

I'm not sure. Lots of people it seems have good luck with touring plans fax service. It can't hurt to fax your resort 4-5 days before arrival as a back up plan.
