Faxing AKL..should I do it today??

Well, we are scheduled to fly to Orlando this Friday, June 25 Should I send my fax to the resort today or is it too soon?

I have read many posts that the Disney hotels were getting swamped with faxes and no longer read fax requests.
The procedure is now to call CRO and have your requests put into their computer system.

I've read about the faxes not being looked at as well, but not anywhere offical. I wish I'd faxed my request. My 4-year-old niece REALLY wanted bunkbeds and they didn't block them for us - even though I'd requested them at CRO. The check in person incenuated that they would definately have saved them for us if they'd known it was important.

I'd fax and request and make sure it was requested with CRO. the rule is generally 4 days before, so you should be able to fax now

The handwriting is on the wall, and it looks like the days of faxing requests are probably numbered. DVC resorts as WL and BWI no longer accept faxed requested... and "officially" WDW would prefer to add the request to your reservation. The room assigners see your reservation, so if it's on there... they'll see it, so it should be no different than a fax (though I realize that it's a bit different for you since you're outside of the the "at least 10 days prior" window). If you're afraid CRO won't correctly add it to your reservation, then call back and comfirm that it's on there as requested. It would seem a lot easier than hoping that your timing is right and your fax will make it into the right hands at the right time.
