On Arrival day we won't be doing parks but we will explore and have dinner at Disney Springs.... favourite places to take young kids? we've been to a Rainforest Cafe in Niagara Falls and I don't think they'd quite get the Nostalgia of Planet Hollywood.... is T-REX any good?

T-Rex is fun, especially for dinosaur lovers. The food is similar to that at Rainforest - in other words, go for the life-size dinosaurs that “come alive” every few minutes, not for a gourmet meal.

Kids often like Raglan Road, good Irish food with live dancers.

We were at The Boathouse for the first time in November seated outside and had some families near us with the kids being fascinated by the amphicars that kept going by.

We went to T Rex with our 6 year old and he loved it! Food was good not fabulous for us, wine list was abysmal. We also went to Boathouse and he enjoyed the attention of the staff and we enjoyed the food and wine selection so much more than at T Rex :-)

Our kids love Ragland Road. The entertainment keeps the occupied watching and they will sometimes bring the kids up on stage which is fun. Keep in mind i think they only do the singing and dancing for dinner and not lunch. Boathouse is our other favorite go to.

My kids loved T-Rex when they were little. As they’ve hit the 10-12 age and like to order off the adult menu, they like Chef Art Smiths and The Boathouse.

We’re a family of five- three older kids ( 17-20) and two adults. Trex is my absolute must do restaurant. We were there last year and my meal was absolutely perfect. I love both the atmosphere AND the food, and to me it’s the most Disney restaurant there is ❤️

So TRex food is typica chain restaurant faire but when we went (4 boys in our group 3-5-7) they all loved the dinosaurs. If they asked to go back we would, but I don’t go out of my way to book. Splitsville surprisingly has excellent food and the last time we went (Nov 2021) the kids were 9-7-5 (same 4) we bowled, got an assortment of food and everyone had a blast.

Homecoming is a must do every time for us. What kid wouldn’t love donuts with their dinner? Amazing comfort food that everyone can enjoy.

Outdoor dining at the Boathouse for us. We love checking out the museum piece boats, and watching the amphicars set off. However, that's in December, we travel in August this year so may be craving the air conditioned indoor seating.

My sons are still huge fans of T-Rex well into their teens. We also like Raglan Road, because it's as close as you'll get to a rowdy Irish pub on property. Rose & Crown is a little too proper for that.

We do T-Rex every trip and my DD's are 20 and 23. We like the food and the theme. When my kids were little I think that they played in dig area. Does anyone know if it is still there? Also, we like having a Landry card. You pay $25 and when you get the card, you get the $25 back by using it for your first meal. We also have a family member with a birthday in August, so they get an additional $25 birthday reward every trip (we put the card in their name so they get the reward each August when we typically visit WDW). It also has gotten us seated without a reservation. You can use the birthday reward each year for food or merchandise. The store has some fun things. You can also use it at Rainforest Cafe.

ETA I found this video that shows the dig site at T-Rex, so you can see what it looks like: Hope this helps.
