Favourite Disney Resort

I really enjoyed the All Star Sports on my last stay..right now, its the only one I've stayed at, so it's going to be my favorite! We didn't spend a lot of time in our room, so I couldn't see paying for a mod or deluxe resort..our bed was comfy, and we even had hidden mickeys in our room that we didn't realize until half way into the vacation and we took the KTTK tour. The food court was nice and had the best desserts! I enjoyed the sports atmosphere, and the baseball pool was neat. Bus service was good...never more than a 10 minute wait!

KKTK - it is the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at the Magic Kingdom.
Hope that helps.

Oh man. That's a hard one. As you can see from my signature, we have stayed at quite a few. As for a favorite, we are pretty torn between two of them - the Wilderness Lodge and the Boardwalk.

We love the Wilderness Lodge for its amazing themeing. You really feel like you are in a whole different time and place. My jaw still drops every time I walk into the lobby. It just has such a wonerful relaxing feel to it. We also love the recreation options. We love renting the Water Mice and we enjoy getting bikes and riding over to Fort Wilderness to explore. We also LOVE taking the boat ride to the Magic Kingdom in the morning. This resort is especially breathtaking at Christmas time! It really feels like "home" to us.

We also have fallen in love with the Boardwalk! We really enjoy all the dining, shopping, and entertainment options there. It's great to spend the evening at Jellyrolls (which is SO much fun) and then just walk back to your room. And of course, you can't beat being able to walk (or take the boat) to Epcot and MGM! We really loved being able to sit on our balcony at night and watch all the hustle and bustle below on the Boardwalk. We really just enjoy the atmosphere - especially in the evenings.

We've enjoyed every place we have stayed, but those two are definately our favorites so far!

I guess my favorite resort is WL. The place we return to over and over again, though, is BCV -- just looooovvvvveeeee that SAB pool -- so that's definitely my favorite DVC property and overall favorite at WDW. The only other resort that I really want to try sometime is AKL -- I've heard/read such great things about it and I'm sure I'd love that as well!

Happy trails,
Sarah

CSR is my favorite resort.

Why...to long to list but you can read my CSR website below.

Caribbean Beach! It was the very first onsite resort I stayed in so it will always be special to me. Plus I love the colors, white sand beaches and overall atmosphere. It's just me!!!

So funny GEM, you did all my posting for me, all I have to do is quote you....Same as Gem, same reasons my goal is to own DVC at BWV by next year at this time.::yes::

Great question. I'd love to see all the answers.
Could we do this as a poll so we can see how the votes add up--then explain the WHYs in this form?

I would have no idea how to set it up though.

Can't say I have a favorite hotel yet, need to try some others, but my favorite location to stay is without a doubt the hotels over at Epcot (Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach and Swan and Dolphin). The monorail is a great convenience, but I like the option of walking around to the different hotels and attractions which are located over at the Epcot hotels.

By far the Animal Kingdom Lodge! Close second is Swan. Haven't stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, but have visited it.

While I loved AKL, so didn't my Grandchildren. Great place for families.

There's something magical about the Poly especially after dark.

Watching the castle changing colors after hours, when the rest of Disney is fast asleep.

There something special about walking the paths along Bay Lake in the early morning, seeing the sun rise and knowing it's going to be another Magical Day at WDW.

My absolute favorite is the WL! I love the brook flowing in the lobby and the bridge, the fireplace, the light fixtures, the entire themeing, and then you go out into the wonderful courtyard, the beach, and feel the magic.

They even give you rocking chairs to sit and enjoy it all!

The Boardwalk is our favorite resort. We just love the atmosphere and the location!:earsgirl:

My favorite so far is the Contemporary (have only stayed there, CBR and CSR so far). We loved having Chef Mickey's and the monrail right in the building and fell in love with the tower rooms and having a MK view. The Contemporary is also a sentimental favorite for me since I remember going to DW when it was the only onsite resort and thinking "What a cool building! One day I'm staying there!" :D

We are planning to try out Pop Century and/or AllStars Sports next trip, and I expect to love them just because of the theming and the reaction my DD will probably have to them, but I think I will always love CR. :earsgirl:

CBR- for it's tropical feel and beautifully kept grounds, but BWI for it's location and fun things to do.
