Favorites in France (EPCOT)

Hello all! Looking for everyone's favorites from the bakery in France (Les Halles) or any other suggestions for cheaper QS meals (in EPCOT), as well as a favorite dessert. Mom thought the sandwiches in Les Halles looked good, but we couldn't decide on what dessert looked best! I know there's also a crepe cart and ice cream shop nearby, or gelato in Italy. We've eaten in Morocco before and enjoyed that, but wanted to try something new and I've heard good things about France, but not specifics. So many choices... what's the best you've tried? TIA!

I've not had the sandwiches but I've read multiple positive reviews about them.

I've had several desserts, I am not exactly sure of the names. My family are chocoholics so it's all chocolate stuff. The eclair and mille-feuille were good. The stand out was the tortiere chocolat (chocolate tart). The chocolate mousse was just OK, a bit bland, but it depends on how much of a sweet tooth you have.

France is our go-to QS in Epcot.

We eat at all three places at one time - Champagne, gelato, and a cheese platter, maybe a sandwich too.

Fish-n-Chips in England are good too, but less seating available.

Mexico isn't bad for QS, but we prefer the Champagne to the ready-made margaritas that truly glow.

And we also enjoy Sunshine Seasons - not your ordinary cafeteria....but it can be noisy.

The Jambon Beurre sandwich is my favorite. I get at least one every trip.

It's a fresh baguette (sandwich size of course). With ham and cheese and this glorious mustard butter spread. I always get it toasted.

Not to seem like a gelato snob, but...the gelato place in Italy is good, but it's not authentic Italian gelato. It's a bit more like ice cream; traditional gelato is lighter. Still tasty, though!

Our favorite dessert in France is the sorbet though, so refreshing & delicious

My favorite dessert from the France pavilion is the Croque Glacé (one scoop is ice cream with sauce, pressed in a warm brioche roll) from L'Artisan des Glaces. It's sooo good!

From Les Halles, I really like the Cafe Liegeois.

The croque monsieur is delicious. For dessert, we enjoyed the creme brulee.

Les Halles is one of my favorite QS in the whole World. I love their Napoleons, tarte au citron and mousse au chocolat.

My wife and I like to go for lunch there at least twice each visit. We each get one sandwich and then we get four desserts and share. No, we can't finish them all but we also can't decide which to get so-we get four. We love that place. Years ago it was always quiet but there is no such thing as a quiet location in WDW, especially with food this good.

I second this, I had it on my trip last week. However they never told me they could toast it....it was good cold but toasted would have been great.

I will say that I was on the QSDP and it's really kind of skimpy compared to other meals. It's basically a sandwich and a bottle of plain water/or Fountain Soda. No sides or dessert. I don't really look at the value compared to hey that's what I want to eat but some people who would like sides or dessert may not find this to be the best use of credits.

And though I'm not much of a dessert person I did use one of my snack credits to buy a Chocolate Crepe. It was pretty good. A little dark/heavier than a traditional crepe but tasty.

So a sandwich/bottle of water/crepe was 1 QS and 1 Snack credit.

I might have got Macarons but they were not a snack credit and I thought they were pricey so I skipped them. I will say that they were cheaper than the ones I actually bought in Paris, but I wasn't going to pay $13 for 6 small cookies.

I would go back and buy the sandwich again ($7.50) as I really did like it and even without sides I'd pay it for just the sandwich that good.

I love the quiche at Les Halles & get it every trip. Also love the Napoleon for dessert! My favorite counter service place in all of Epcot

The macaron ice cream sandwich from the ice cream shop next door is hands down the best dessert ever.
I also have enjoyed the fish and chips in England and the sandwiches in the Norway bakery but I always wait until France for dessert!

The quiche there is good, but HUGE!

I enjoy wine/champagne and a cheese plate, and the lobster bisque is surprisingly good for a mass produced operation. I've never had anything bad there or accompanied anyone who was unhappy. I'm not much of a chocolate consumer, and my preferences aren't popular, but my chocolate loving companions have all died about the chocolate desserts to be found there.

We loves Les Halles also, sandwiches, vanilla eclair, raspberry mousse. Also love Norway's Club sandwich, big enough to split and also served toasted.

Thanks everyone! I think we're going tomorrow. I always get so intimidated by all the choices and you can't see much til you're right up by the counter so I never go into the bakeries.

I've had the macarons (because I tried some at chef Mickey and LOVED them. otherwise I'd never pay that much). The ones at CM were way better. These were ok but not great. I don't think you missed anything by passing on them!
