I like http://allearsnet.com for trip planning, but just to find out what's going on, and what might be down, etc, I find the DL Resort updates at http://www.mouseplanet.com to be very informative.

I had to look up sidestep.com since i hadn't heard of them. I use www.kayak.com and www.travelaxe.com to help me price out flights and hotels. For disney planning info, I like disboards, laughingplace, mouseplanet, mousesavers and dlresortinfo.

I really like www.tripadvisor.com for reading reviews of hotels and the discussion boards for new locations I'm considering.
