What's your favorite underrated Disney movie? Not the most heard of movies that were loved and cherished by all (those movies I love too!) but the movies that are really good but didn't get enough recognition/love from the audience.

There are some movies that are really good and are true gems but some people don't like them. I call them the underrated Disney movies because they are really good, sometimes even my all time favorites, and the movies aren't really that popular.

My absolute favorite underrated Disney movies are Hunchback of Notre Dame, Oliver and Company, and Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

My three picks =

Shipwrecked

The Journey of Natty Gann

The Island at the Top of the World

I love Atlantis, and The Rescuers

Without a doubt in my mind, I feel the BEST underrated movie is Sword in the Stone. The movie has amazing songs by the Sherman brothers, great characters (particularly Archimedes), magic pixiedust:, humor :lmao:, everything. I've always been sad there is a lack of Sword in the Stone merchandise at the Disney Store and parks. Hoping for something this year with the 50th anniversary coming up but sometimes it seems to be a forgotten classic. :sad1:

Oliver & company! The animation is great and so is the plot, and I love the music!

Oliver and Company, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Enchanted, Fox and the Hound, A Bug's Life, Bolt, Bedtime Stories, Herbie, Newsies, Snow Buddies, The Black Cauldron, and Bridge to Terabithia.

I'm not really sure that these all qualify as I'm pretty sure some of them were quite popular when they came out, but you don't really hear about them all that much anymore so...

Pete's Dragon
Swiss Family Robinson
Original Parent Trap
Cartoon Robin Hood
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Honey I shrunk the Kids
Hocus Pocus
Homeward Bound
Angels in the Outfield

I can remember watching them all over and over again. Me and my sister actually broke the Homeward Bound video we watched it so much, and I remember seeing Hocus Pocus 3 or 4 times in the theater.

There's one more old movie I liked as a kid, but I can't remember the name of it. It was about a man who gets turned into a fish. The movie was with real people, but the fish was a cartoon. I think it was something like Mr. ___'s Adventure, but I could be completely wrong.

I also really like these movies that came out after I grew up.

The Emperors New Groove
Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
Ratatouille

Definitely The Black Cauldron. I watched it over and over again with my best friend years ago and still use some of the quotes in everyday life. Mostly just "munchies and crunchies in here somewhere..." when looking for food/snacks in my purse ;)

Rocketman is one of my favorites from growing up. I think it premiered on the disney channel. Holes too is a great movie that you don't hear too much about
