So I've never done any TS restaurants at Disney and it looks like this trip will be the first! We're going for 4 days, so 4 TS credits. We're 2 adults, no children with us. What are your favorite TS restaurants for lunch and/or dinner?

One thing to remind you of, if you're on the DDP, you get one set of credits per NIGHT you are at the resort. If you're staying for 4 days, you're likely staying 3 nights, so you'll have 3 TS credits.

That being said, you didn't give us your itinerary for this trip, will it be 1 day at each park? Are you park hopping? Are you planning on visiting a water park? Do you want resort restaurants, as well, or just theme parks?

As for me, since I've only eaten at 4 TS restaurants, so far, I can't give you a comprehensive list, but I can tell you if I liked them or not on their own merits.

Rose and Crown (Epcot: UK): really good food, just don't order the masala. Fish is wonderful, bangers and mash is excellent. The cheese plate introduced my family to Stilton cheese, which we now buy at market.

Be Our Guest (MK): Food is wonderful, theming is drop dead gorgeous! Portions are HUGE! 5 of us shared 3 dinner plates, and we were stuffed. French onion soup is some of the best I've had. And stop me if you've heard this before, but try the grey stuff, it's delicious!

Mama Melrose's (HS): The entire place, from the decor to the food, reminded me of the song "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant" by Billy Joel. He released the song in 1977, which is probably when Mama Melrose's was built, and when they made the menu. Everything is fine, everything is serviceable. Nothing wowed me, but nothing had me going all Stitch on them. It needs a refresher.

Rainforest Cafe (AK, also at DS): I'll start by saying the decor was great! I'll finish by saying that was the only thing great about that restaurant. Alright, alright, you want to know about the food, I'll tell you. It can give Applebee's a run for its money. That's about all. It's literally food, it fills your stomach. The food is about as inspiring as a cat is inspired by a deck of playing cards.

A long time ago I read something here that I have quoted many times. The only thing consistent about Disney dining is its inconsistency. No matter what someone loves, others will say it's the worst meal ever and vice versa. DW and I took most recent trip by ourselves and we chose different restaurants than we do with the kids. If we are travelling alone we would pick:

MK - Tony's. First trip there was awful. Gave it another shot years later and it was great.

Epcot- Rose and Crown, Coral Reef or Chefs De France.

DHS - 50s Prime Time.

DS- Ragland Road

Resorts - Yachtsman, Chef Mickey (breakfast) or Trails End.

Have Fun!

Favorite 1 TS restaurants are:

Spice Road Table - EP
The Wave - CR
Trattoria al Forno - BWI
Capt. Grille - YC
Tusker House - AK

Our favorites are: 'Ohana, Tutto Italia, Rose and Crown, 50's Prime Time, and Biergarten.

I suspect we all have our favorites for various reasons. In no particular order, here is mine

Whispering Canyon
Reglan Road
House of Blues
O'hana
50's Prime Time
Mama Melrose

My family tends to go to Via Napoli, Trail's End, Liberty Tree Tavern (the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is worth it on its own), and Yak and Yeti on every trip.

When just the two of us go, we like Via Napoli, both the Japanese restaurants in Epcot,..Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom....Saana and Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge (and such a great place to walk around at night - they have fire pits and you can see the animals from the decking) ...
Kona at Poly and Raglan Road at Disney Springs..Have a great time!

My favorites:
Hoop Dee Doo Revue (this is 2 TS credits per person)
Tusker House for any meal at AK, I would argue best food and price for a character meal
Spice Road Table in Epcot
Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge
Be Our Guest for dinner, although lunch and breakfast are okay too and are Counter Service
50s Prime Time Cafe at DHS

My favorites at each park:
MK: Cinderella's Royal Table (for the experience more than the food)
Epcot: Via Napoli
DHS: Mama Melrose's
AK: Tusker House

Favorites at the resorts among those I've tried are Ohana at the Poly and Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge.
