Favorite Trip Reports thread!

Ok, trip reports are just about my favorite thing to read when I'm planning a trip. And as you know, the way this board is set up, reports get booted to the back pretty quickly and it's hard to find them again.

So I thought it would be nice to have a thread we could keep at the top that provides links to the first page of a trip report. Here are some of my favorites that I love to read over and over again...

I'll add two favorites of mine that you missed, Allison!

Allison's report is one of my all time favorites- I used several of hers to convince my two wild and crazy brothers in the their 20's that WDW is the place for them!

I also love Janet 2K's reports!

I haven't read any of Kevin's, but it looks like I'll have to go do that.

Thanks for these links! I thoroughly enjoyed Allison's, and just got thru gopherit's. Just copied Bob NCs, read the first couple lines, and laughed so hard, had to reply and say thanks! Nothing like great, funny writers on a subject so close to our hearts.

Thanks! I read BobNC's and half of JoeDisney's yesterday and I was cracking up all afternoon. They are both great...I like it when I can imagine myself there!

These are all so great...I also loved Zzub's "Me v. Disney: the battle for my wallet". I'm sure there are many more, but I just can't think of them off of the top of my head!!

I agree with the others, Allison -- edit your post to add yourself to the initial list!

As for listing me (gopherit) -- wow! What an honor!!

I think the threads that inspired me to write were JoeDisney's. THe line about "finding no one that looks like him" (his son) and then stating he's thankful for it still gets to me...

My dh, however, more closely aligns himself with Zzub's work... I read these to him a while back. Occasionally DH will still allude to Zzub's astute observations on Disney's prowess at dividing man and moolah (he has asked me more than once if Zzub ever wrote about valet parking... )

Thanks for putting together a thread that lists all these threads -- it's like one-stop shopping for the Disney-deprived!

Oh yes, it's much deserved. I know I told you, but this had me crying with laughter...

I suppose had we failed in our attempt to get their attention by name, we could have hollered from the boat, “He’s at the 40! The 30! The 20! He Could Go All The WAYYYY!” Of course, that may have only prompted them to stop in at ESPN club, instead of looking for us. But I digress....

Vettechick99: great thread! Provided it stays near the top it'll be a convenient place to find good reading.

Gopherit: I laughed so hard reading your trip report, I think my appendix functioned. Tell your husband, I don't so much fear the valet as I do the bellman. I just hate tipping someone to bring my bags to my room. Fortunately, when you stay at the All Stars that's no so much a problem.

We're staying at Coronado Springs in April and I'm already anxious about the 10% surcharge to eat in the food court.

I kinda wonder if it wouldn't get lost up there if it was a sticky? I never look up there anymore and wonder if other people ignore it as well?

Also, just noticed that you and Kory are heading back! Last I heard, he had suggested "something different". How'd you pull that off??!!

Can't wait to see the trip reports!!!! I'll definitely be having withdrawal pains from our trip by then....................
