My DD (5) and I (significantly older than 5 ;) )are going to WDW in Jan. My parents will be joining us for part of our trip. Having tea is one of my families favorite things to do. I was thinking it would be nice for us to go. i heard that there were a few different options. I'm wondering what's everyone's favorite spot for tea.

Even though my DD is pretty young she has gone to tea several times. We usually go to the Ritz in Boston. So she is ok with fancy.

Afternoon Tea is my favorite thing to do! That is why my description says Afternoon Tea Hostess. I am even the director of a local chapter of The Ladies' Tea Guild where I live! I like going to Tea in the Garden View Lounge in the Grand Floridian. They also have a special Princess Tea for mothers and daughters, but it is quite expensive, but it's because the Disney Princess characters are present and the little girls get lots of gifts to take home, like a doll and other things. That Tea is really for the little girls. It seems I remember it being about $125 or so. I think this Tea is served before 2 pm.

The regular Afternoon Tea, which is enjoyed by children and adults is served from 2 pm to 6 pm and is about $19. Well, that's the adult tea price. There is also a children's menu, which is less, but I've never bought it, so I don't know the price. You get a pot of tea, tea sandwiches, scones, and mini pastries. This is the one my husband and I go to. There are no character visits, just Afternoon Tea.

We were planning on going for our next trip in Dec, when we are taking my mother-in-law, but even though we called a couple of months ahead, they said they were booked for the entire five days of our trip! This has never happened before with Tea, and we got all of our other requested ADRs, so I have no idea why we can't get into this one in December!
