Hey everyone - I'm just curious - what is your favorite thing to do solo? I will be in the world at the end of April and am wanting to know what I should do.

I would like to go to Jellyrolls (please, can someone tell me where this is) and do some other things that maybe I wouldn't get to do with a family or a BF who is not into this sort of vacation.

Anyways, some advice would be fantastic....Jo

Jellyrolls is located on the Boardwalk, right next to the Atlantic Dance Hall. The cover charge is $8 and it opens at 7pm, with music starting at 8pm.

JRs is a must on my trips to WDW and I've always felt comfortable going in here solo. I usually grab a seat near the bar and enjoy the evening.

Have fun!!! :cool1:

I have gone to Disney World solo 4 times so far (with a 5th planned for later this year). Some of my favorite things to do are:

Getting to the Magic Kingdom early, then just strolling down Main Street taking in the sites, listening to the soft music playing in the background, and looking at the windows in the upper floors of the buildings to see what they all say. Also, I like grabbing a snack over at the Sleepy Hollow (their ice cream cookie sandwiches are excellent!) and grabbing a table near the wall. It’s quiet and has a beautiful view of the castle and it’s reflection in the water. I also like grabbing a seat (early) on the 2nd floor of the train station to view SpectroMagic & Wishes. The Crystal Palace is my favorite place to dine at this park.

Wandering around EPCOT and taking the time to soak everything in. I especially like Future World at night after it’s closed. Very quiet, nice soft music and the buildings are lit really nice, especially the Imagination pavilion and Spaceship Earth. I usually try to get a PS at the Rose & Crown before Illuminations, then watch them from my table, while enjoying a great meal. The Rose & Crown and Le Cellier are my favorite places to dine at this park.

At Animal Kingdom, I like to take my time and walk all the way around the Tree of Lift. Everyone goes to the front to take pictures, then to It’s Tough, but hardly anyone walks all the way around the tree. There’s a waterfall and it is just wonderful to see all the different animals carved into the tree while there is soft music playing in the background. Tusker House is my favorite place to dine at this park.

At MGM, just wandering around. I like to get to Fantasmic early to get a great seat. 50’s Primetime is my favorite place to dine at this park.

I always have a book with me, so it helps to pass the time waiting for a parade or show to start.

I also like treating myself to a decadent sundae at Ghiradelli’s at DTD. YUMM!!!!!

Hey, me too! JR is a fun place with a group or solo. ESPN is at the boardwalk and is a great place to eat solo too (and pretty cheap) !

My favorite things may seem pretty stodgy to some-I'm not the Jellyrolls type. I've got 2 favorite things. The first is to "plan to un-plan"-that is, I just go to the bus stop and take the first bus that comes along. I love the feeling, but it's just so hard to find the time for me to "un-plan" at Disney. But the other thing I do all the time-people watch. There are so many places I have where I'll sit and watch people go by. One of my favorite spots is the benches in the shade at UK in Epcot. I love to sit there in the morning and watch all the people rush by me, while I sit and sip my coffee (that I brought from BCV). Another great spot is outside France (of course, for this I need to first go to Boulangerie Pasterie to get some sustenance for my hard day of people-watching). In AK, I love to sit out front of Pizzafari; in MK, I love to take a rocking chair in Frontierland; and in MGM, I'll just sit on a bench on the Main Boulevard in case any of the Streetmosphere characters are around-they're as fun to watch as the people!
