I like the Main Street Bakery in the MK.

I like Kringla Bakery and a few other places in EPCOT.

I like the Starring Rolls in DHS.

Haven't found anything spectacular in AK except maybe the frozen Chai.

Any suggestions?

I don't think we've found anything spectacular in AK...

My dsil and db liked the spiced cream cheese pretzel from a cart.

I liked the egg rolls from Yak & Yeti counter service outside... and if you're on the DDP you get two of them for a single snack credit.

I *hear* that some people really enjoy some cinnamon roasted nuts from a cart in there (at least I think there's a cart with them there).

I have also *heard* that the Key Lime pie in a glass dessert from Flame Tree BBQ is rather good... though I wouldn't know as I'm not into key lime pie and I've never tried it.

Nothing there makes me say "oh, I NEED to get ___!" I'd be interested in seeing if we've missed something in all of our trips though.

Our favorite is the ice cream cookie sandwich from Dinobytes. We also like the frozen bananas from the ice cream cart and the pineapple bites from the Harambe Fruit Market.

A pretzel & Safari Amber while walking from Africa to Asia.

A banana from the fruit stand in Harambe.
Rice Krispie square from the Tusker House walk-up window.

No offense everyone, but I am still not seeing anything listed that remotely competes with the other theme parks.:sad2: Seems to be a BIG oversight on WDW's part...

They need to have some kind of bakery with treats inspired by the regions represented in the AK (Asia, Africa, etc.). Maybe we'll hop over to the Mara at AKL for some Zebra Domes if we need a treat...

There is an ice cream place next to Restaurantosaurus....I don't know the name of it but the order window looks like one of those old silver camper things. They have the best ice cream cookie sandwiches. The cookies are freshly made and huge. ( Edited to add: It's called Dinobite....thanks Greenfield1984!)

Not sure if I'll change your opinion on food at the AK, but Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery Kiosk in Harambe has the same stuff that the Main Street Bakery and Starring Rolls has for breakfast.

Espresso, Cappuccino, Apple or Cherry Turnover, Danish - Apple, Cheese, or Cherry, Cinnamon Roll, Muffins - Blueberry or Apple-Cinnamon, Croissant,
Bagel with Cream Cheese, Crisped Rice Treat, Cookies - Sugar, Chocolate-Chip, or Oatmeal-Raisin, Brownie, Brownie Paw, Zebra Cupcake, White Chocolate Elephant Cupcake, Mixed Fruit Cup, Yogurt.

Pizzafari has breakfast platters (eggs, hashbrowns, biscuit), breakfast pizza and biscuits and gravy. For lunch they have a a very good chicken caesar salad.

Tamu Tamu (also in Harambe) has Ham, Egg, & Cheese bagel sandwiches, along with French Toast Sticks for breakfast, and great lunch sandwiches that include turkey & swiss on focaccia and a tuna salad pita that is wonderful.

Flame Tree BBQ
is the most unique counter service in all of Disney. The ribs are outstanding, but so is the BBQ chicken salad.

The Mandarin chicken salad at Restaurantosaurus is very unique, and the carrot cake there is fantastic.

The AK also has the same carts that all of the other parks have with popcorn, Mickey ice cream, fruit, egg rolls, turkey legs, pretzels, corndogs, etc.

As a previous poster said, there's nothing better than a cold Safari Amber from the Dawa Bar in Harambe!

The Kusafiri Coffee shop has an Elephant and Zebra Cupcake that is quite excellent.

We always get ice cream from Dinobite (only the sandwiches don't count as a snack credit anymore :( ). On our last trip, we found the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery and got a cupcake and a danish for breakfast (very healthy I know!), and they were excellent!

Ding, ding, ding...I think we've got some winners! Thanks!

The fresh ice cream sandwiches from Dinobite and the cupcakes sound great! We have had the cherry danishes a few different times for breakfast at the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery Kiosk. (Probably the RUDEST service we've ever had at WDW--but I digress...) but I didn't remember the cupcakes--probably because we were looking for "breakfast" foods. Also, that carrot cake from Restaurantosaurus has some potential.:thumbsup2

The jalapeno cheese pretzel (somewhere close to the Kilimanjaro Safari area) sounds really good, too!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

The jalapeno cheese pretzel (somewhere close to the Kilimanjaro Safari area) is the best snack I have ever had anywhere in WDW!!

Popcorn, Disney really has the best (Salty & Buttery, not healthy but darn it's good), Frozen bananas, Corn dogs and egg rolls. They have more to offer than DHS, at least in my book!

Forgot, I love the cappucino's, I get one and take a break while the kids run around in the Dinoland play area!

The cheese stuffed pretzel is one of the few snacks I think about back home.. Last trip I ate 3 in one day... they are sooooo good.
The cherry danishes someone else mentioned are by far the best danishes I have ever had anywhere... yummy....
and the elephant cupcakes look delicious but I have never had one. They are on my list for this trip.
One thing to stay away from.. those nasty turkey legs... blah... grossest thing ever. We got one for DD right after she was diagnosed with diabetes because it has no carbs and it was gross. Not only did I have to scrape out big jello like blobs out of it but then we both smelled like ham all day. Yeah... they smell like ham.....

Just over the first bridge and on the corner heading over to the safari is a wonderful little kiosk that sells baked goods. There's this huge square of what I think is a type of crumb cake. I've ONLY found it at the AK and it's really delicious! It's enough for two though so beware. LOL

This looks good!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you like bakeries? :)

There have been some great suggestions in the thread so far, I've got to find some of that stuff you guys are showing! For my wife and I, our only must do snack at AK is a Coke slushie and we sit in the "secluded-ish" tables behind the stand where you get them.
