It's all about smells!

What brands do you prefer? Candles, oil lamps, Scentsy? Others?

What has the best scents? The longest lasting smells? What is your favorite scent?

And tell me about Scentsy products. Fragrant? Messy? Just found out about these, look interesting.

I like the Yankee candle tarts. My favorite smells are vanilla, cookie types or sea types.

My favorite smell is the smell of fresh cut grass. I have a candle that is discontinued from Yankee Candle that is fresh cut grass. In the middle of winter I'll light it sometimes to make me hate winter less.

Never heard of Scentsy.

I like Yankee candles, especially the woodsy/pine ones, and clean cotton.

Christmas scents too, and apple/cinnamon.

I like the woodwick candles too. The wick crackles like a fireplace while the candle is burning.

I prefer Yankee Candles since they have lots of smells that aren't floral or contain floral (like beach and linen--flower smells in those...blek!).

I'm sensitive/allergic to synethetic flower scents, and YCs have the best choices for my sensitive nose.

I have Vanilla cupcake in my house right now.

I do enjoy spice scents as well.

OK, DISer's...I am not sure if it is new...but FRESH BAMBOO from YC is FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT right now I am burning HOME SWEET HOME!!! This weekend I bought BALSAM AND CEDAR and RED APPLE WREATH. I will light those off and on throughout the holidays. Then Christmas week I will light HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS and CHRISTMAS EVE on Christmas Eve!!

I have a YC Christmas cookie scent that I can't wait to burn. Just opening the top & taking a whiff makes me want to lick it!! lol

Mostly Yankee, they are amazing!!!! :) My faves are the cucumber melon, cinnamon and cookie. YUM!!!!

All my candles and reed diffusers are from Pier 1. I LOVE their scents. Mostly I use diffusers. You get a good smell along with none of the hassle of candles. I am so terrified that I would forget to put a candle out lol. They also last forever! I have ones in my bedroom, den, and bathroom that have been open for a year now. The one in the den is just starting to get low (it's the largest room) but the one in the bath is still at about half.

That said, I do also enjoy the Yankee scents. The problem with them is, they are pricier then I get my other stuff for. Pier 1 actually carried a yankee set last christmas, it was about $5-$8 more for the equivalent sized candle and the diffuser was double the price. Not worth it to me (though I did pick a couple of candles up when they went 50% off lol).

My favorites are either clean, citrus, or Christmasy scents. Love Balsam & Cedar, Sparkling Snow, Sparkling Angel, Lemon Lavender, Beach Walk, Sun & Sand, Cottage Breeze, Mountain Lake, and Vanilla Lime from YC. Love love LOVE Leaves, Winter, and Sparkling Citrus (home fragrance only) from Bath & Body Works. I also really like Egyptian Cotton, Pure Cotton, Winter Woods, and Lime Grove from Colonial Candle.

I am an independent consultant for Scentsy and I love the products. They are a safe alternative to candles. There are over 80 scents and laarge array of warmers, they all plug in to the wall and use 25, 20 and 15 watt bulbs depending on the size of the warmer.

The scent lasts a long time and they are so easy to clean and change scents. Another safe thing about Scentsy is the wax will not burn you if it gets on you, and with having little children in my home , this was a big plus for me. If you would like some more information I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I can attest to this! I'm a Scentsy convert and love their Sweat Pea and Vanilla scent. I also enjoy the Havana Cabana (Banana) smell. VERY sweet!

I have two plug-in night lights and when I can't smell the scent anymore (about a month or two), I simply let the wax cool a bit, then easily swipe it out with a paper towel. I get a clean paper towel and wipe the burner down, then put another chunk of wax in there and I'm good to go again!

My only problem is that I recently bought a $20.00 brick and can't for the life of me figure out an easy way to cut it up into 'bite sized' chunks for my burners. I typically wind up with little pieces and shavings all over. Can you help me out with that?

This is one of my favorites also!!! Very clean smelling.

One scent that is on my purchase list is from The Body Shop. I use the Satsuma body butter and it is my favorite scent. Next order I place will include the Satsuma scented oil.

I pretty much stopped burning candles. Once I discovered the scented oils, I fell in love:love:! A few drops in an electric warmer is all it takes.

I recently found a new favorite: Raspberry Lemon Blended Tea by the McCall's Country Canning Candle Company. It smells so good!! I have a large jar candle for the house, and one for the camper as well. Before winter I plan to order a couple more on-line.

I also love Woodwick candles, that have the wooden wicks in the center that crackle just like a fire. I have a couple of those in the Fireside scent.

I still like Yankee candles too, my favorite scents being Clean Cotton and Hazlenut Coffee.

(Oh crap, I didn't realize this was an OLD thread, until I went BACK to read the other posts AFTER I posted....AGAIN!) *hanging head in shame*

I was at Yankee Candle yesterday, and I smelled all the new fall scents, and Spiced Orange smells sooooooooo good!
I also love Purr choli ( used to be witches brew), macintosh, spiced pumpkin, balsam fir, sugar cookie, and home for the holidays.

I love walking thru that store, it all smells amazing!

I have so many Yankee Candle tarts that when people come over they usually look through my stash and take a couple. LOL My favorite smell of ALL TIME is a nice crackling fire!!! I haven't found a candle YET that smells like a fire. I have tried a Yankee Candle one (fireside, maybe?) and another brand (I forgot the name though) but nothing as good as a campfire!!!

Anyhow, my favorite candle smells are usually food scents. LOL Especially the apple scented ones. And I usually go for sweet ones too. I have a few friends/family that hate when I'm burning certain scents, because they're too strong for them.

I am NOT a floral type of gal, but I do like Lilac when it comes time to open the windows after a long, cold winter!!! My favorite of all time (now discontinued) was Garden Cucumber. It had such a clean scent to it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Scentsy!! As a matter of fact, I'm having a party on Monday. I don't generally do the whole party thing. I feel bad asking people to come spend money, but I am hooked on this stuff ;)

I love the Lampe Berger scents. My favorites are Creme Brulee, Orange Cinnamon, and the vanilla scents. So much better than burning candles, but they are pricey.

Balsam and Cedar from Yankee Candle. It's embarassing how many I buy during the holiday season but I'm always afraid I'll run out!!!

If you are sensative to smells, I find Scentsy smells too strong. They smell great, don't get me wrong, just strong. Of course my small house could be a factor in that too!!!!!
