Hi everyone. As is often said here, I love this place and reading the threads. I'm probably the odd duck that likes to read the food threads and trip reports when I don't have a trip planned because it makes me feel like I went on a mini-vacation. Please tell me I'm not the only one that does this? :)

So since I don't have a trip to DL anytime in the future--near or far--and because I'm spending the day living vicariously through everyone else, indulge me: what's your favorite shop? Either at DL or DCA or DD? Is it the gift shop tucked away in the corner of the park? Is it the DLH gift shop? Do you get so wrapped up in World of Disney your friends lose you and you lose track of time? Not like that's ever happened to me....

I think my favorite shop is the Emporium because it has something for everyone, with the Disney Clothiers a close second because I always find something fun there. At DCA I can't remember the name but it's the shop that is kind of across from Ariel's Grotto.

I'd love to find out your favorite place(s).

I have, indeed, lost a friend in the World of Disney store. You really have to stick close together at all times or agree to split up and meet back at a designated location in that place or it can be scary! Anyway, I found one of my favorite Mickey t-shirts in WoD, and they always have other cool stuff, but nothing especially unique.

I like the Emporium, too, but again, nothing especially unique there.

I like the China Closet on Main Street (I have found some items in that shop that I did not see in every other shop), Disneyana (collectibles and unique items) and the Disneyland Gallery (they used to sell a lot more than what is sold today).

I like the Gag Factory in ToonTown because not only have I gotten some things in there that I have not found in other places in DLR, but they also often tend to have things that have sold out of the stores on Main Street.

I used to like the little kitchen ware store in New Orleans Square, which is no longer there. I also used to love the tiny Christmas store that was nestled in Fantasyland many years ago (no longer there).

I like the Fantasia shop in the DLH.

I like Off the Page and Enginears in DCA.

I love the oh dear what is it called....there is one on Main street and one in NOS, glass, jewelry, etc?!?! I want to say it starts with an A?!?!?

I have to also say that I love the little Twilight Zone-themed shop outside of Tower of Terror (forget what it is called). I am a big Twilight Zone fan, and I have seen some really cool souvenirs in there - and what's good about it is that many folks do not realize there is a shop there because it is so hidden and out of the way, so it is usually not crowded!!

I used to LOVE New Century Timepieces on Main Street (which is now called Fortuosity). I got some of my best watches there when I was on a watch-collecting rampage in the '90s!!

Okay it was bugging me it is called...Cristal d'Orleans in NOS and Crystal Arts on Main Street. Love it....Great engraved gifts!

The small store at the end of Small World surprisingly sells things you don't find on main street. I bought the 7 dwarfs as rubber bath toys there one time, and my friend bought a bath toy of various children of the world riding in a small world boat.

The Magic Shop on Main Street.

I love going in there and watching the staff perform magic tricks and "wowing" people. I have spent WAY too much time in there some days. I also do magic, so its fun to pick up a new trick in there every now and then. (Shopping and entertainment in 1 stop!)

I also always have to stop in Crystal Arts on Main Street because DH and I were engaged at the Eiffel Tower and they have a 3 and a half foot tall crystal Eiffel Tower in there that I would LOVE to own. It's around $5,000 so... I go to DL to visit it. :wizard:

...love the shop when you come out of TOT...lots of cool stuff, plus stuff they run out of elsewhere can still sometimes be found here, as it has an out of the way location...also love the trendy disney shops in DTD...D Street and forgot the other one's name right now...and I always find something in the Grand CA Hotel gift shop that I don't see anywhere else...and last, the shop by GRR in CA Adventure where my daughter purchased a cute plaid hoodie on our last visit...

"Off the Page" in DCA :thumbsup2

Oh I have to agree. The last couple years every time we go to Disneyland I have to have one of the artists do a sketch for me.

So far I have Sheer Khan from Jungle Book. Robin Hood with a sword. Robin Hood and Maid Marian walking arm in arm. And my most recent and favorite...Peter Pan vs Captain Hook in a duel.

They all have a caption and the date. They are all framed in matching dark cherry wood frames and are hung in my home office.

The one with Robin and Marian says

Aaron & Kristy
