Just wondering if you have a fave during the Christmas season? We're going the week after Thanksgiving and I CAN'T WAIT to see the holiday magic!!! :cool1:

Often during the Christmas season the table service restaurants (and some buffets) will have an additional menu (or choices) that represents a "holiday" selection. So, be sure to ask about that when making an ADR.

Also, be aware that during this time the prices are raised, at least for buffets. Not sure why WDW finds this necessary, as there are more people at WDW during this time of year than any other (so it's not like they are going to risk losing money on unsold food... ) but they do.

We have no special for the holidays restaurant any longer. We used to, but with all the changes to the quality of food and service at WDW, we save our holiday dining for offsite for the most part.

If you are on the DP alot of the one table setting rest go to two table settings. The pricing changes so for me I don't worry about one particualr place they are always so booked up :santa: I go every year at Christmas, I can do an all inclusive somewhere else so much cheaper, I'll break this change at some point, to costly

hhhhmmm....we've always done dining plan before, but you more experienced guys are making me second guess that decision for this time of year.

Any other opinions about being on the dining plan during this time of year and/or where you like to dine?

Wait, your going during the VALUE season, i think the other posts are talking about the HOLIDAY season. We are going dec. 12-17 and that is still a value. I don't think the pricing increases until the holiday, but typically this is one of the lowest crowd level times of the year. The only increase of TS credits I know of is when booking the Candlelight Processional Pakge, regular one service credits like Chefs de Fance and Le Cellier increase to 2TS but that is all I know of.

OH, whew, ok thanks!! :-)
I'm reserving now and am not having any trouble getting what we wanted...of course the two "biggies" (like you mentioned) aren't on the list. ;-)

Thanks again!!

Im am also going the beginning of December (cant wait!) after looking through a gagillion pictures of restaurants, the only one i'm finding christmas decorations done up at is Tutto Italia... surely other restaurants partake in the decorating?? Maybe just no pictures posted.. :confused3

Nothing will be changed unless you are there for the actual holiday. We have been for the last 2 years from the 18-26th and menus at certain restaurants were only changed Christmas Eve and Christmas day, and even then it was only a select few. Also none of the restaurants go from 1 to 2 TS credits unless you are booking a CP package.
