Favorite Resort, Least Favorite Resort and Old Faithful

Favorite: Polynesian (although I've never /stayed/ I make a trip each time I come, because I just love its atmosphere and calmness.)

Least Favorite: CBR (WAY too big, that Internal bus system drove me insane when I was younger. Probably why we only stayed there once.)

Old Faithful: All Star Movies (Been there several times, Including when we got diverted from flying back home during and after Hurricane Irene. Had zero complaints about it, and loved every different room section we've stayed in there. )

It's so hard to choose a favorite because so many factors go into where we stay aside from how much we like the hotel (and because honestly, we think most of the hotels are pretty great ). That said, these (today at least!) are my favorites.

Favorite -- for a trip with just me and H, the Grand Floridian. Love the room decor, the shops, the tearoom, the lobby (especially at Christmastime!), and the grounds and exterior.

Old Faithful -- Boardwalk (either the Inn or a 1BR @ BWV). Even though I like the Grand Floridian a smidge better in terms of the decor/feel, we stay at the Boardwalk more often because it's walking distance to EP and HS, and we love having quick and easy access to EP, Beaches & Cream, and Ample Hills for food. And actually, when I think about it, I probably would choose one of the Garden Cottages at BWI as my "favorite" if I could afford to stay there every time!

Least Favorite -- Coronado Springs. In a way this isn't fair to CSR because we stayed there pre-reno, but we said never again...our room was dirty (even after requesting cleaning), we found the layout confusing and too spread out, and we didn't like the decor they had at the time (though I've seen photos of the new decor and I must say it's lovely). But we're spoiled now and like to stay either on the monorail route or at one of the EP resorts, so we probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.

We've never stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, though we have a Christmas trip booked where we'll be doing a split stay between there and the Beach Club. Given how many DISers love the WL, I'm very curious to see if it will jump to the top of my list!

We have stayed at almost all of them.

Favorite: Poly, followed closely by WL

Least favorite: Saratoga Springs, followed closely by the values and Riverside

Old faithful: WL when staying deluxe, CBR when we are staying moderate.

We really only stay deluxe, so I will just base my opinions on that.

Favorite is a toss up between contemporary and poly. Probably old Faithful too.

Hated yacht club.

Favorite - GF - Before actually staying there I would have never thought it would be my favorite
Least favorite - Polynesian
Old Faithful - POFQ/POR - Great themes and gives us everything we need without breaking the bank on deluxes.

Favorite: Contemporary; I LOVE the mesh of classic Disney meets modern design, it is also one of Walt's original resorts which gives the resort a special nostalgic feel, and of course the legendary atrium with the indoor monorail station!
Least: All Stars, I don't understand the hype, I have never really been a fan of the value resorts, for the price I would rather stay off-site at a nicer hotel (and one with indoor corridors) or at least upgrade to a moderate resort.
Old Faithful: Yacht and Beach Club, this is my favorite EC area resort, love the nautical theme and the incredible convenience and intimacy of walking right into WC via IG is priceless!

Can “Old Faithful” be a place you’ve only stayed once? I’ll always be a GF fan, but after our visit to Kidani this summer, I thought: This is where I’ll stay whenever I can’t go GF.

Favourite: Beach Club. The last two stays have been here and it is absolute perfection. Dh and I both loved the resort and its location.

Least Favourite: Saratoga Springs - it felt too condo-y and I prefer a resort style hotel

Old Faithful : Caribbean Beach - I know I’m in the minority but I love it there. We love the laid back vibe, the sprawling grounds with lots of room to walk and explore, and my kids love the splash pad. I won’t stay there again until construction is complete though.
