Favorite RCI exchange

I have never used the RCI exchange. What are some of your favorite resorts you have stayed in?

Barrier Station in the Outer Banks was nice. Palm Beach Shores Resort in Palm Beach is beautiful. Ocean Villas in Ocean City, Md. were okay. I've even traded into DVC to stay a week at VWL for F & W Festival.

I don't exchange through DVC. My favorite RCI exchange thus far has been back to back weeks at the Grand Mayan in Cabo (1 BR one week, 2 BR the other). My total cost for the 2 weeks about $600-700 where it would have been 1500 DVC points. I prefer II because of the Marriott and Westin possibilities.

One of my favorites is Running Y Ranch in Klamath Falls, Oregon. It is a large, woodsy, mixed-use property with vacation homes, timeshare and inn. Lots to do on the property: golf, indoor pool complex, spa, horseback riding and animal watching. Some units are pet friendly and the equestrian center will board guest horses. Plenty of BLM trails nearby. Suggest a day trip to Crater Lake National Park. (Disclosure: my last visit was in 2002; I did not use either DVC or RCI to book the stay.)

We are looking to do an exchange next year into RCI because it is too late this year to use our points and want to deposit them. I'm curious if there are any other resorts that you folks have taken a liking to. Do you all think New York is out of the question??
