For some reason I have food on my mind today, so I thought I’d ask you all a fun question. What is your favorite “old faithful” restaurant at WDW and what is your favorite “newer discovery?”

My old faithful is Artist Point at the WL. We have eaten there three times and had absolutely wonderful meals each time. The food is wonderful, and we have always had excellent service. Plus, their berry cobbler is my absolute favorite dessert anywhere!

My newer discovery is Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco at World Showcase. I ate there for the first time this past trip, and the food was delicious. I loved the chicken bastilla appetizer with it’s combination of sweet and savory flavors as well as my chicken kebobs entrée. The meal was topped off with apple crepes that were just right—not too sweet or too rich.

I am with ya, I food on my mind everytime I check this board! :rotfl2:

Well lets see I would say our "old favorite" is Mama Melrosa's we love it and will be going back in December! :worship:
The "New kid on the block" for us is going to be.....Hoop Dee Doo! ::yes:: Strange I know, but we loved it! :goodvibes
That and my 6 year old has it at the top of his "must do again" list!
Thats my boy, Disney food first! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Old Faithful: Whispering Canyon - only restaurant we've ever eaten at 2x in one trip.

New find: Le Cellier - went for the first time on our last trip and couldn't beleive what we had been missing.

Our new fav is 'ohana's - discovered it in June, went back in Dec, and made a ADR for July. Also, we discovered the Plaza Restaurant which was an absolute relief on a hot, crowded evening at MK.

Old standard is Pecos Bills. I love the chicken salad!!!! DH loves the burgers and burger bars. One word.....CHEESY FRIES!!!!!!!

Old faithful - Yachtsman Steakhouse .. we have eaten there every trip since they opened

New find - Grand Floridian Cafe .. great food, lovely setting

old faithful... California grill...always good
new discovery....Kona Cafe.... MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

old faithful- artist point-- always a delicious meal and wonderful ambience--love it!!

new favorites- kona cafe (lunch) and spoodles--we tried both for the first time in may 2005 (we'd had breakfast at kona before, but not lunch until that trip) and they were fabulous!!!

Great thread, Elisabeth!

Our old faithful has got to be Mama Melrose. We go on every trip.

For our new discovery, it would have to be YSH. We discovered it in July 2004 on our anniversary and went back for our anniversary last year too. I also went with my Mother in December and she loved it as much as I do. We wont do that every trip, especially with the kids, but Id have to say its a newer favorite.

Old faithful...Artist Point...we have been eating there since they opened.

New discovery...Raglan Road...oustanding!

Old faithful: Le Cellier, I won't go to Disney if I can't have it!!

New discovery: Artist Point, we were almost scared of it at first, but loved our waiter (Joe), loved the food, loved the drink (ice wine), and definitely loved the ambiance!

Oooh, now I’m hungry! LOL!

Can y’all describe more about The Plaza Restaurant and the Grand Floridian Café—I’m considering both of those for my next trip. :)

Old Faithful: Brown Derby and Le Cellier

New Discoveries: Kona lunch or dinner (ate there twice last trip) and Artist Point.
