If you were traveling to Vegas (no kids, just adults) what hotel would you stay in and why that hotel?

Bellagio...it's gorgeous and in a great location mid-strip!! We stayed at Paris accross the street which was OK, but not worth the money (IMHO).

I travel to Las Vegas for business and pleasure often and have stayed at many hotels on the strip except for the new ones in the City Center.

So I'd probably pick one of those because they are new and clean, lol.

I have stayed in Mandalay Bay, the Hotel at Mandalay Bay, Luxor, MGM, New York New York, Monte Carlo, Paris, Bellagio, Caesars, Mirage, Treasure Island, Palazzo, Venetian, Wynn, Rio.

My favorite is Venetian. The rooms are very large. I prefer the Venezia tower because it's so quiet and I like being able to get to Bouchon very easily for breakfast (the homemade beignets with chocolate sauce and fresh preserves are mandatory when I'm there, lol). I like the dining choices and of course the Canal Shoppes.

My second favorite is probably Caesars Augustus Tower. I like the Caesars resort, I like both the casual and fine dining offered here, I like walking through the Forum. I like the location.

My least favorites are Luxor, Paris, and Mandalay Bay. I love the pool at Mandalay and there are some great restaurants but I didn't like the rooms and I constantly had to wait on elevators--they do not have enough for the number of rooms. I hated everything about Luxor. And Paris had the thinnest walls; I could hear everything the people in the room next to me were saying.

I'm not a gambler so my choices are not based on casinos/gambling.

We've stayed at the Cesears and the Monte Carlo. I actually liked the Monte Carlo better by just a bit

1) hotel and gaming floor are small. Sorry, I hate the super large gaming floors, they are so noisy and packed.

2) Rooms at the Monte Carlo seemed bigger to me. I heard it's because it's an older resort but we had 3 luggage racks and were able to set them up on the side of the bed and had tons of space to walk around it.

3) Cesears wins for restaurants and shopping (or window shopping LOL). The food was fabulous!! and I loved the fact that you did not have to go to a "celebrity" restaurant to get fabulous food. Dh and I celebrated NY's in vegas, we ate at Cesears on 1/1 dinner for 2 rans us about 45 bucks each and we had 2 drinks a piece, appertizers each and a dessert each plus our entree. You have got to go to the forum.

My next trip I'm staying at the Venetian.

We usually stay at Mirage, but the new Aria looks amazing and super high tech. If money's no object and you like ultra modern, check it out.

I haven't been to Vegas for so long that I didn't even know that the Aria existed. I'll have to check it out.

The Venetian or Paris.
Last year we changed it up and went to the Mirage it was disgusting!!!!!!!!
It has a very old ventilation system and you can really tell (even in the rooms).
The jungle entrance is tired and dusty:sick:

MGM Signature - all rooms are at least a junior suite. The service was impeccable and it was quiet since there is no casino. The hotel is part of MGM grand and connected via moving walkways.

There is a pool with wait service at each tower of the hotel - or you can use the pool complex at MGM. When I go back I will stay there.

We like the Flamingo. We have always gotten great service, good rates & we love the pool. And it is Mid strip.

We stayed at THE hotel at Mandalay Bay and loved it...big roomy suite and fantastic pool.

Not the Venetian, but the one attached to it which is owned by the Venetian... I think it was called the Palazzo. We stayed there just over 2 years ago. Great location, great service, great everything.... a little spendy, but we were celebrating.

We just spent a week in Vegas and scored the Aria for $100/night and we loved it..............beautiful and clean rooms!! I was a tad worried after some of the reviews on trip advisor but we had no issues and enjoyed our stay there. We didnt utilize any of the restaurants as i'm to cheap for that :lmao:

The Wynn or Palazzo.

I just stayed at Paris in December (for free) and while it was fine, it certainly was dumpy compared to the rooms we saw at the Wynn at Palazzo.

For me, the Venetian. Amazing theme, beautiful rooms, very roomy. I have spent a week in the Venetian and not felt like I was crowded.

THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay! Love it. While most seem to prefer mid-strip, I really love the area down there. Lots of great restaurants and shops and the pool is great.

For some reason we prefer to be on the South end of the strip. However, the rooms at the Cosmopolitan were fantastic!

Another vote for The Hotel at Mandalay Bay. It's the only place we stay. They're all suites, and having 2 bathrooms is soooo convenient. Especially if your DH likes to sit on the john  The restaurants are fantastic, the pools, you can hop the monorail to Luxor & Excalibur and walk to NYNY or MGM from there. Staying at that end of the strip means your hotel won't be packed full of people trecking through to sight see. This can make all the difference in the world, especially when trying to eat, or to get to a slot machine or table.

It also depends on whether you have a car. If you have one, then you can basically stay where ever you want and be able to get around with ease. If you have no car, then you kind of want to stay mid-strip since that makes walking to other casinos a little easier. Especially in the heat of the summer. :crazy2:

You can sign up online for different hotels/casinos and they may send you discounted room rates. That may make the difference on where you stay, too.

IMHO, if youre dealing the typical big hotels, they are all nice. I would suggest staying at one in the center of the strip. I also suggest one that has the Monorail as a stop since this will add a mode of transportation other then walking or cab.

If youre going off peak, they all have pretty good rates.

Caesars!! So beautiful. We were upgraded to a Palace Tower room and it was GORGEOUS-- double shower, pool view, two bathrooms, large vanity area. The location, shopping, and restaurants are terrific, too. We didn't try a sit-down place, just the French pastry place for a Nutella crepe and coffee/juice in the morning. OUT OF THIS WORLD!
I'd like to stay in the Venetian, but since it's all suites, we'd have to be with another couple to make the price worthwhile.
