We are staying at the WL, but are considering having our DD stay at the Neverland Club at the Poly for our "date night" during our vacation. We are going to V&A (yeh!:Pinkbounc ).

Just thought I could start a little survey to gather info for myself and others:

What's your favorite kids club?
Why do you prefer this club?

It might be also helpful to find out if certain clubs are felt to be better for certain ages (like more video games might be more fun for older ages). If enough people respond, I'll summarize everything so that it can be helpful for everyone.

When dd was 4 she stayed at the Cub's Den while I went shopping. She seemed to enjoy it. She watched a movie, had dinner, played on the computer, made a craft, kept quite busy. That's been the only club she's stayed at.

The last time I tried to get her to stay at a club she was VERY clingy so it didn't work, but we did "tour" several and I must say the Neverland Club was very impressive. Very large but a really cute set-up. Now my dd probably wouldn't do well there because they tend to have a lot of kids, (she's real funny about that), but I can see most kids enjoying it, it's really neat.

This trip we're going to try again, either at Camp Dolphin or the kids club at the BC.

We've only been to the Neverland Club, but my kids loved it. They were disappointed when it was time to leave. My son played video games and my daughter did lots of arts and crafts.

My children loved the Neverland Club too. We went to dinner at the GF and they gave us a beeper ( buzzer ?) so they could reach us if they needed to. When we came back our children ignored us because they didn't want to leave. LOL.:teeth: :teeth:

My kids - now 5 & 9 - have stayed at Simba's Cubhouse at the AKL and the Neverland Club at the Polynesian. They liked both but prefer the NC because of all the things they can do - video games, arts & crafts, puppet show, movies, etc. It is also the only place I know of that serves pizza - my 9yo is a VERY picky eater and won't eat anything else.

DH & I put them in there one night a trip so we can have a quiet dinner at one of our favorite places - Kona Cafe! :)

My DS6's favorite is Simba's at AKL. We've stayed at AKL a few times so he has become very acquainted with the club and the CMs that run it. He begs to go when we are there. Even when we stay somewhere else he asks to go back to Simba's. He has also been to Neverland Club and the Sand Castle club (BC). He has enjoyed each of these as well. The Neverland Club is larger than the others and serves a buffet dinner for the kids. We attempted the Mouseketeer Club at the GF but we were greatly disappointed in the appearance of this club. It is significantly smaller and looked dull and very crowed. So we opted for the Neverland Club again. We are planning on trying the Cub's Den and the Mouseketeer Club at the CR on our next trip. I would love to hear more about the CR's club, if anyone has any information. :D

We have used Sandcastle Club twice. My kids enjoyed their "night off their feet" very much. That club has many arcade style games along with the Nintendo stuff. The CMs were very nice and especially considerate of my older (age 11) DD's feelings about being the oldest kid in the club. They went out of their way to treat her appropriate to her age and she appreciated that. Sadly, she will be too old next trip for kid's club. I feel fine recommending Sandcastle to anyone.

we used the sandcastle club for ds, age 4, on our last trip and he really enjoyed it. it was smaller in size than the others i think, but was not very crowded and the staff were really attentive. he was there about 3 hours and is wanting to go back on our next trip! we'll probably use the same one since it's familiar and close to beaches and cream!

Bumping this one back up for more info :)

Looks like they're all good, but the GF one has several negative points.

Anybody want to add their experiences?

Also, is there anywhere for the little ones to lay down if they get tired?

Thanks!

Would you guys leave a 5 year old. My DD has no siblings and I am nervouse about sending her to a club or the tea party or pirate adventure by herself? Any advice or info?

My DS is an "only child" (very independent and outging) and went to his first kids' program at 5 (not at WDW but a great family resort in The Keys). He had a ball as it gave him a chance to play with other kids - which he'd been missing on the vacation. And with no siblings to bug, at some point he just gets tired of mom and dad I think ;) We try to do this every vacation and so far it's worked well everywhere. I wouldn't be concerned about sending her by herself - if she seems comfortable with it.

My DD4 is an "only" . We recently returned from a hotel with a kids club. I only wish it was at disney. She had a great time. She can be a little shy, but she did great. She made a friend, tons of crafts, and watched a video. She askrd to do it again the next night, but we didn't.

Thanks guys. I know she would love it I was just worried about her age and being "alone". I will still have to think about it.:D
