Favorite hotel near Disney with suites?

We're going to be at WDW over Thanksgiving. We really want a suite (one with a separate bedroom - not a pseudo-suite that some of the hotels have), gym, and a heated pool in a hotel that is close to the parks. The more extra amenities the better, of course, but those are our must-haves when renting.

Care to recommend some favorite places?

A one-bedroom villa at Wyndham's Bonnet Creek resort would meet your criteria. The pools and lazy river are heated. As a timeshare resort, accommodations are nicer than a typical hotel room or suite. And thisclose to Disney property.

Just stayed for one night at Sheraton Vistana Resort in Lake Buena Vista and was very pleasantly surprised! All of their units except one section have been remodeled and our one bedroom villa was beautiful and so clean! It was actually an upgrade in quality from the Disney deluxe resort we'd been at for the 6 nights before--something I didn't expect! I think they are always running specials...they are a timeshare property, also, so will try to "sell" you; since we were just staying one night for a travel agent promo, I politely declined--they didn't bother us after that.

Take a look at the Double Three Guest Suites In DTD.Hotel Plaza Blv.
It has 2 big beds and 1 double sleeper sofa. 2 tvs.fridge,microwave .
It has a super for sale price at 79$-89 night,inc breakfast for 2.
You need the mousesavers special link to get this price ´w breakfast ,and 72 hr cancelation policy.
You can get the 79-89$ price anywhere but that has an no cancelation and no breakfast policy.

Ed..Just see your other post about staying whiteout a car.
The best (Only) place to be, NOT in a Disney hotel is one of the DTD hotel. Why??? Because this is the ONLY place that have buses to the parks all day every 30min.
These buses runs GREAT (if your not a snobby must take car 1mile, cant wait for a bus for 15,min snob).
As you mention on the other post,you can take the Disney bus from DTD but these are NOT direct,so this is NOT an option for you (it goes to a Disney resort,then you must change bus,then you can goto the park).
And as the Double Three and Buena Vista Palace are the only Suites available i deff... go for on of them. Buena Vista Palace also have a SUPER sale (95,night inc breakfast),but it will be around 130 night with breakfast because this hotel has an ridicules high resort fee. It do have a 3 min walk to DTD though,and the Double Three has an 25,min walktime to DTD.

We love Embassy Suites in Lake Buena Vista. The rooms are suites. Awesome work out room with wonderful equipment. The pool is heated and it is outdoor/indoor pool. Cook to order breakfast every morning plus every every evening a managers reception with free appertizers, drinks and slushies. Also in the evening they have dive in theater at the pool playing Disney movies. Also they do have a free shuttle to Disney. Very clean and friendly staff. We have been so pleased with this resort. We will be back in September and can't wait.

Marriott Grande Vista. We've stayed there the last 3 visits to Orlando. They have studio, one, two, and three bedroom suites. The one bedroom suites and on up have a full kitchen, washer/dryer, a huge whirlpool tub in the master bedroom, two covered and screened in porches, a dining room and second full bathroom. I've always been amazed at the prices too. Sometimes you can get these rooms for around $199. They run specials periodically, but you won't be disappointed.

I second the Sheraton. We had a 2-bedroom villa and it was just beautiful. It will be very difficult this year when we stay at the Hampton to not miss it. I loved it that much.

Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista. I also have had a great experience there. A two room suite, free cook to order breakfast, free happy hour, and heated pool. Close to grocery store and DTD. Very reasonable rates.
