Favorite Food Network Personality?

This was hard because I like Paula Deen and I also like Rachael Ray (love, love, love 30-Minute Meals). I also like Michael Chiarello and Alton Brown.

I do not like Semi-homemade or the host, Sandra Lee.

..... I can't stand Sandra Lee--unless I'm looking to get drunk-it seems she loves to make cocktails every episode!!! What's with the over done "table scapes"?

LOL. The time S Lee takes with the table scapes, she could make real whipped cream instead of the Cool Whip #@@# she uses (no offense to the Cool Whip afficionados out there). And her cocktail time beverages are usually something I would not want (sake sorbet fizzes anyone?)

Paula!!! I love her. But most of her food is so bad for me. I enjoy watching her show though and have taken a few of her recipes and tweaked them for my family. I find her the most fun to watch.

I LOVE Paula Deen. 2nd is Rachael Ray. In fact, I almost made stoup today- but I was sick.

I like Alton, can't stand Bobby, Ina drives me crazy- it's her VOICE. I'm over Emeril and wish he didn't have a show on every five seconds. I like Giada- but I think the poor girls head is too big for that tiny little body. Tyler is adorable.

ANd Sandra- she has some neat ideas- but I would never call her a chef. I AM jealous of her Kitchen Aid mixer collection, though- that lady has one in every color!

My husband likes Giada - I have no idea why!!

Russ and I adore Alton. It's by far Russ's favorite show, over any "kid's" show. And I know he's not a cook, but I love Marc Summers. I'm the right age group to have watched him on Double Dare and it's great to see him hosting again!

I just adore Rachael Ray. 40$ a day is my fav, with 30 minute meals a close second. She really the only one that I watch.

G Alton, Go Alton Go!

I got to meet him, Rachael, and Mario at the Big Food Show in Cleveland. It was so awesome!!! I was so excited to meet Alton and he spent like 10 minutes talking to me. I also saw his wife and daughter.

I would LOVE to get all the episodes on DVD, but they are sooo expensive!

Who is the skinny chick who does the italian cooking show. The angle of the camera makes her head look huge, like a melon on a toothpick. When my wife and I see her, we start quoting "So I Married an Axe Murderer"

Rachel Ray looks like one of the "Joker" girls from the Batman movie, last night when she was on we kept going "Love that Joker" when she smiled.

Sorry, I know is mean to make fun of others, but this is so funny, and I thought the same , but again

I think it's facinating the combinations of people that folks like. For DW and me it seems our favorites are:

Emeril
Alton Brown
Giada

Can't stomach Rachel Ray (She seriously needs to quit smoking. Her voice is almost completely gone). I don't care much for Paula Deen (a bit too precious) but DW thinks she's OK.

Bobby Flay and Mario are OK also.

Since The Food Network is literally the only thing we ever watch on TV, I guess they are the only shows we actually have opinions about.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Paula and Rachel. DH stated that if I start cooking like Paula, he's buying stock in a dairy, because every show, she uses at least a pound of butter.

Giada and Ina are ok, they don't make much that we as a family would eat, but love their tips.

Alton is great, Emeril I can take him or leave him and Tyler is just too cute.

Love Bobby in Boy meets Grill, but most of the rest of the time, his is so-so.

I loved to watch Jamie Oliver. I can't remember what the title of his show was. He was the quirky, young English guy.

Sandra Lee is just running fingernails over a chalk board crating on your nerves annoying.

For the rest of the "chefs", they are either hit or miss, depending on what they are cooking and what else is on. But when it comes to Paula and Rachel, don't mess with my TV time.

Alton Brown's cool, but for some reason I just CAN'T stand watching Rachel Ray. My friend and I made a little show making fun of her called $1 a Day, one of us dressed like a bum and pretended to eat garbage.
