Favorite food finds at Disneyland and California Adventure?

No, but lemon isn’t my favorite flavor. I still love the blueberry most though, it’s so flavorful!

I read that the lemon and raspberry were very artificial tasting, so I haven't tried either yet. The blueberry is amazing. My husband wants to try the guava also.

Carthay Circle loung, plus I belive there will be food festival going on
The Carthay Circle has "old Hollywood" just oozing out of every brick in the place. More than any Disney property anywhere, imo. You can easily imagine looking up and seeing Walt and Lillian having dinner across the room with Fred McMurray and June Haver.

You'll want to have a scotch mist (Walt's drink of choice) as a toast to the pleasure we all get when visiting.

If is essentially a homemade blueberry pop tart and it’s so good!

Okay, so I was craving one of these and instead I bought blueberry pop tarts.

NOT EVEN CLOSE. Yuck. Threw the box away.

These are like the best shortbread cookie you've ever had filled with the best homemade blueberry jam, and the best pastry glaze on top. Just chef's kiss.

I need to get that one next time!

When we were at the parks last month we were in DL on the morning we were leaving, so we couldn't hop over to DCA. (We have Magic Keys but needed to leave by 1 pm) We got the strawberry hand pie at Candy Palace. It was so good! But I def want the blueberry 😋

Are these hand pies REALLY that good? I mean, not to knock anyone's personal preferences, but I don't like much of the pastries and treats that are often mentioned as must-do favorites on the board. I am all about treats--sugar is my favorite food group--but I'm very picky about flavor and quality. I hate fake flavors and too much coloring (I'm talking about you, raspberry macaron monstrosity).

It will obviously depend on your preferences, but I love the hand pies and in my experience, most Disney treats are more visually appealing than tasty. I dislike most of the Disney cookies, cupcakes, brownies, cake pops, etc.

To compare, some of my favorite treats are:

Gingerbread cookies
Hand dipped ice cream bars from Clarabelle's
Chocolate popcorn from Galaxy's Edge
Jack Jack Cookie Num Num
Churro (plain or pumpkin spice, no dipping sauce/icing)
Plain and pumpkin spice beignets, no sauce (I know they are hollow but I still like them!)
Matterhorn macaroon
Some of the specialty macarons (not all as some or too sweet or weird, and not the raspberry one)

Ooooo!! We are the same person!! Ok, yes! I'll try them!!

I don't have time to read through the whole thread, but here were some things that surprised us:

Lucky fortune cookery
The corn chowder bread bowl at french marker
Pacific Wharf cafe
The wings and burger at Disneyland hotel
Brownie sundae at clarabella's
The ice cream at the Cozy Cones is the best
The chimichangas- we got them at the cozy cone
I loved all the cold brews- tried many of them

Yes, they are that good.

I don't really like anything in the cases at the candy shops. It's all too sugary for me. The blueberry hand pie is perfect. It doesn't taste fake at ALL. It's very fresh tasting and is just really well balanced.

I do like several of the Jolly Holiday treats, including the Raspberry Macaron, but a note on that, it's Raspberry ROSE. The flavor you taste is predominantly Rose Water in the buttercream. There is nothing fake in these macarons, but rose water is a very specific flavor and you either love it or hate it. The Raspberry flavor only comes from actual raspberries. I find that it tastes exactly as it should.

Guava??? Where are these hand pies hiding? 😆

Thank you for that info! I guess I don't care for rose water because I love raspberry and that's not what it tasted like to me. The macaron itself is not what I consider a true macaron and is far too large, but one of my best friends absolutely loves it and always has to get one first thing. My daughter and I made dozens of macarons once for a catered event and I NEVER want to do that again, but man, they are so good.

If you want the raspberry macaroon go early. They also never showed up for mobile order for me. They do sell out. Wasn't able to get one on our trip. The mummy macaroon they currently have was a nice substitute.

I’ve never seen the hand pies but they’re on my must try list!

Another favorite of mine is the churro toffee. I’ve been dieting hardcore since January and most treats are too sweet for me anymore but I’m hoping I can enjoy some things I’ve loved in the past!

Marcelines Confectionery in Downtown Disney.

Every candy shop has a different flavor.

Main Street: Strawberry
Pooh Corner: Lemon
Trolley Treats: Blueberry
Bing Bongs: Raspberry
Marcelines: Guava
Thank you!!!
