In Juneau, the helicopter ride to Mendenhall Glacier for the dog sledding.

My 9 year old and I went to Alaska last summer and booked all excursions on our own. We did ziplining and dogsledding (on dirt) through Alaska excursions in Skagway. I loved the ziplining and my kiddo loved the sled dog puppies. In Juneau we booked rum runner charters and had a boat to ourselves for whalewatching. We enjoyed this also. They can take up to 6 so works for a small group. In Ketchikan we did a helicopter tour through Ketchikan Helicopters. This was AMAZING and I would highly recommend it. We landed in a field and hiked for a bit to see salmon and bears. This only works for 2 people though. We loved Alaska and would love to go back!

We enjoyed it. Didn't get to sail with their dog which really bummed my daughter out. But, overall, great experience. We went early morning and they provided muffins and drinks. It was great to have the boat to ourselves. Took a taxi back to port (included with price we paid) which was easy. Saw some whales and other wildlife which was amazing!

We did chilkoot train excursion, train up-bus down and the Red Onion Saloon good times gals & ghosts walking tour in Skagway. My teens slept most of the train up, but liked the bus down. Teens stayed onboard for brothel tour. Hubby & I enjoyed train and loved the brothel tour. Booked both separately through their independent websites.

In Juneau, I booked my teens through dcl on the teen only zipline and they had an AMAZING time! Hubby and I walked around town, lunch at the Red a Dog Saloon, and took the Mt Roberts tram up for a short hike on the trail.

In Ketchikan, we walked around town and then went to the Disney version of the lumberjack show. Bought tickets through their website directly. Show was entertaining.
