Ok. Disney has lots of fertile ground to work with in deciding what should be the next themed attraction.

What movies or shows would make exciting new attractions?

How about an Emperor's New Groove themed ride. "Demon Llama, Demon Llama"? There are several action scenes that lend themselves more toward thrill rides, or you could add new story elements in a slow ride.

A Monster's Inc Roller coaster? Obviously the scenes where Sully, Mike and Boo are being chased by Randall Through the area with all the doors.

I completely agree with you about the Monsters Inc. ride. I have said for several years that the "door ride" would be a great idea. Also, after taking my girls to see "Brother Bear" this weekend, I was pleasantly suprised. I think it is much better than a lot of what Disney has put out lately. A "Legend of the Lion King" type attraction would be great for this movie.:D

Hi Goofmeister,

I like this idea! A Monster Inc. ride would be way cool. How about a Finding Nemo ride, that takes you under water to see all the characters! They should do a Lilo and Stitch ride too, I am a big fan of Stitch! Another one they sould do is one with the fab five.(Mickey and friends) Any way I could go on an on about this all day!

I LOVE DISNEY, Zen1::MickeyMo

A redo of the 20,000 leagues Under the Sea. They could put you in a underwater submarine simulator a combination of Star Tours meets Dinosaur. An octopus could attack. Have a battle with ships dropping depth charges. View tropical reefs and the ocean floor, such as a trip to the deep depths. This would be way too cool.

A Monster's Inc ride is a wicked idea as well.

the first time i ever saw "monsters inc" i definitely wanted a "door ride." In fact, I pointed to the screen and said, "that should be disney's next ride."

Oh yeah, I'm liking both the Monsters, Inc chase scene and door scene ride ideas.
A Finding Nemo ride where you're chased by Bruce and the shark gang, have to dodge the jellyfish, out run the seagulls and make it through the aquarium maze.
A Treasure Planet coaster based on the Jim surfing scene at the end.
And a 3-d show that lets you battle the villians. What can I saw, I'm a villian fan. :teeth:
Mike :wave2:

ps. Do I get Imagineer credit if any of this goes to production?

Treasure Planet! That's a great idea too.

Walt used a lot of the Wide World of Disney show ideas to come up with rides. It worked great.

I heard the Living Seas was going to get a Nemo overlay. Just a rumor as far as I know.

TLS needs some serious help, and anything would be welcomed.

Goofmeister, we must have been separated from brith, because as I was waiting for the topic to open, I had already come up with two ideas to post, and they were the Emperor ride and the Monster coaster!

As you can tell from my name, I have an affinitiy for Demon Llamas. Part of the ride could be based on the "secret lab" (Yzma -- put your hands up!) with an interactive arcade type feature, ala Buzz, in which we do battle with Yzma through all that crazy MesoAmerican architecture.

The Door Coaster from Monsters Inc was a no-brainer, from the first time I saw the movie, too. Needs to be the inverted coaster that suspends the rider, so we can look WAAYYY down as we ride!

I'd love to see the Stitch themed ride, too!

You all are getting your wish for the Stitch ride. Alien Encounter was recently closed to make way for a rehab including Stitch.

And I definitely think that the biggest grossing movie of 2003 (finding Nemo) should get a ride!!! Wouldn't it be great to transform the old 20,000 Leagues ride into a nemo ride? I am all for that.

A Monster's Inc Roller coaster? Obviously the scenes where Sully, Mike and Boo are being chased by Randall Through the area with all the doors.

I really like this idea!!

"In Search of the Castaways"
"Island at the Top of the World"
"The Black Cauldron"
"Fantasia"
"Bambi"
"The Black Hole" ...well okay, maybe not. There already is a ride where we go to hell. ;)

I'm glad you asked ! I have a strong opinion on this.
I want a train ride through an exact replica of the scenes of The North Pole from the movie " The Santa Clause" with Tim Allen.
( I'm speaking about the first " Santa Clause " ) I want to see Judy the elf as a realistic audioanimatronics figure. I think the whole thing would be adorable, and something that the entire family will enjoy. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

How about a coaster based on the Australian current scene form Nemo. Just love those turtles.

In fact, I pointed to the screen and said, "that should be disney's next ride."
That was my exact reaction too! :D

Nemo theming at The Living Seas would be great. They could work the turtles into somehow. It's getting to be a dead attraction (used to be my fave :( ).

Finding Nemo is definitely a favorite and I would love to see such an attraction in Living Seas or a whole Nemo makeover of LS. Altho I liked not loved Atlantis, wouldn't it be nice if they could do something with the old drained 20,000 Leagues (which I never got to experience) with an Atlantis theme?

Guess there are lots of us thinking about "Monsters, Inc." I'd like to see something interactive, where little girls could volunteer to be Boo somehow.
